Why surrender so fast

I know that everyone has been asking for the 15 minute surrenders and such, and my question is why. I play a lot (and i mean a lot) of video games across multiple systems and have learned that you can turn an opponents mistake into a win. I've even done so in LoL. The main reason of this post being 2 things......

1 I'm starting to lose interest in the game because of the i won't win mentality from everyone playing. They get 1 or 2 deaths and its already GG in the chat box from everyone. If that is how you wanna play then why bother deaths happen learn from them and try again.

2 Not as an important but when y'all surrender so quick how the hell do i get my mastery coins for getting S's....its damn near impossible. Now I'm not saying that I'm the best (cause I'm not) but when i have a good game going and the S is coming then bam surrendered 4 to 0 vote shows......and I'm just like WTF.

So to finish this weird ass rant (I apologize) It is very hard to enjoy a win when almost every win I've had the last couple months has been to a surrender from the enemy team, it sucks the joy outta the win.

No let the hate comments fly and the positive comments loose and enjoy the rift in your own way i guess.

May the stars guide you Soraka

The reason is that if you see what your teammates are doing, sometimes you just know they can't capitalize on opponent's mistakes. Some games are really just that bad.

I agree that it makes getting S ranks nearly impossible. Likewise in 20 minute surrenders though. That's not an issue with surrendering though, it's an issue with the mastery system. It's insanely easy to get an S rank in a game that goes over 50min, but incredibly hard in a short game. Why? A short game is often dominated while a long game is often close, so why is it easier to get an S rank in a long game? It seems damage dealt to champions, kills, cs, etc... all aren't scaled appropriate with team length. Your kill participation will be higher in a long game because more kills come from teamfights than from early ganks. Damage will be higher because you're spending a larger proportion of your time fighting other champions rather than creeps (and the damage in those fights is higher, although I would imagine that IS accounted for). There are a lot of fixes needed for the mastery system.

Yeah, having experienced a few 15 minute surrenders so far, I'm not a fan.

I respect challengers and pros enough that if they think it's okay to ff15 or open mid, I'll accept it. But I'm down here in Silver, and most surrender votes I see are due to unreasonable tilt. It's one thing if you're down 20-0 at 15 minutes, but if it's 11-7 and a handful of objectives, that's hardly insurmountable. I'm glad that the ff requirement is universal so that I can at least try for five more minutes to turn the game around, but some people will say "ff or I afk" or similar and are utterly worthless after that 15 minute mark.
