I played nautilus for the 1st time and enjoyed it immensely. So no the problem lies in to how build him into a glorious top tank. I know to get these: item 3068 item 3075 item 3742 item 3083

my question falls into what else should I build?

May the stars guide you Soraka

Don't get warmogs or thornmail automatically.. Sunfire cape spirit visage guardian angel and other situational tank items are usually best.

NAUTILUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS FIRST ITEM: item 3068 or item 3065 depending on your lane opponent. BOOTS: Usually item 3111 but occasionally item 3047 if they have few stuns and lots of ad. SECOND ITEM: item 3068 or item 3065. Whichever one you didn't get yet unless against heavy AD. THIRD ITEM: Usually item 3083 unless against heavy AD. FOURTH ITEM: item 3512 unless against heavy AD or heavy AP. FIFTH ITEM: If you are not tanky enough get more defense. If you are, get damage.

EXTRA ARMOR ITEMS: item 3742 for engage item 3143 for crit. Build it first against yasuo lane. item 3075 For auto attack heavy teams like master yi and xin zhao item 3025 Great for dueling ad champs once you have hp.

EXTRA MR ITEMS: item 3102 Not a great item, but after spirit visage not much is left item 3001 Like I said, not much is left. The cdr is helpful, but you won't see much of a damage increase compared to sheen items. item 3091 Better damage boost than abyssal, but no cdr. In most cases though, building warmog's armor is better than more magic resist due to how mage's damage rotations work.

LAST ITEMS: item 3026 : Are you carrying or just not tanky enough? This will fix that. item 3100 : Highest dps item on nautilus, but gives no resistance. Only build if you a tanky god. item 3078 : Can be used to cap off your CDR if you don't need the armor from item 3025

When i play nautilus, there are a few builds i opt for, keep in mind, I'm not a stellar naut, but i thought i'd just throw in an opinion, and see if i myself am making any mistakes

Build A: item 3068, item 3111, item 3078, item 3742, item 3001, item 3026 OR item 3083 Build B: item 3068, item 3111, item 3742, item 3102, item 3083, item 3065 OR item 3026 Now this might not be your cup of tea, but Naut is also a great jungle or support (i actually prefer him as a support) But here are those builds too: Jungle: item 1401, item 3111, item 3742, item 3083, item 3102, item 3026 Support: item 3401, item 3111 OR item 3117, item 2045, item 3190, item 3083,item 3109

Sunfire is great. Make sure you get MR. Banshees Veil or Spirit Visage (I would lean on Banshees on Nautilus since he doesn't inherently have sustain unless you go for Grasp as your keystone in which case go for Spirit Visage.

You basically want to be unkillable so something along the lines of Sunfire, Spirit Visage/Banshees Veil, Dead Man's Plate, Guardian Angel is pretty strong. You can use your last item a couple different ways. If you want to just group and constantly fight either Warmogs, Knights Vow or Reightous Glory would be solid. The health is great and the sustain from the first two helps to reset fights while Reightous Glory makes your engage potential much higher. If you wanna sit in a side lane and pressure before tping to a fight, then go Zzrot. Nautilus is already a pretty solid split pusher thanks to his bonkers wave clear and his large amount of CC grants him safety to get away should he get collapsed on.

You could benefit from a glacial shroud item. I usually go iceborn, sometimes frozen heart when they have a lot of AD/AS champions.
