Kassadin was fine even after the q nerf, now his ult is gutted and we now see Nidalee jungle or mid every game... spears nuking you and cougar exploding you every game. How is this okay?

It is not just as high.
It is high but 17% is a very large difference.
If we were talking like 80% and 97% then that's not too big but 17% is a large fraction of 57% comparatively.

Granted, when the enemy Nid is sniper elite V-FAZE, those spears are scary.
