Removing Dominion.

You realize that the reason Dominion does not see play is directly BECAUSE of your lack of attention to the gamemode?

There are only two things wrong with Dominion.

  1. Your lack of attention
  2. Low number of players, largely due to #1

This makes about as much sense as one of your meetings going like this "Instead of reworking them, we have decided to remove Urgot and Yorick from league of legends. Anyone with over 100 wins on those champion gets a summoner icon."

And as for the balance getting weird, you are way off there.

Somehow, Dominion (with NO attention paid to it) is better balanced than rift and has a wider variety of champions and strategies than on Rift.

Rift: Often frustrating, snowbally games lasting over 40 minutes. New OP's come in every patch to destroy everything. Stagnant meta is relatively unchanged since it was started. Dominion: No real OP things, every game has a chance for a comeback, any teamcomp can work.

You are giving up and saying that the gamemode has no chance of ever working, without ever having EVEN TRIED to make it work.

Your post says that 0.5% of players actively play dominion.

** no shit**

Dominion has no ranked queue, no champion mastery rewards, old visuals, etc.

No matter how much dominion you play, you will never receive anything for your efforts. No ranking, no little emote, nothing

[zombie-nunu-bummed] Dissapointed, Riot.

Ok, so here is what we do.

The community backlash got them to Revert the Lee Sin rework, so there is a chance we can get them to keep Dominion.

The problem with dominion is that it's a vicious money eating cycle. The same server upkeep as SR/ARAM/TT for a queue that's only played by 0.5% of the community.

To revamp that would cost a lot as well. And there's no garentee that they'd get any profit out of it. It'd be a lot of money for a high risk of more spending with basically no way of knowing whether they'd get anything back out of all the spending.

Personally, I'm sad to see it go. But Riot is first and foremost a company, and I acknowledge that. If the day came that League was costing more than it gave, we'd have to wave farewell to it too.
