If a squishy is the least bit out of a position, someone like Leblanc can delete them quicker than a 14 year old boy deleting his search history. How is that a bad late game? And sure, we can say things all day like, "well they can't if the squishy isn't out of position or their team has cat like reflexes to help their out of position teammate", but let's be real. Most of the players are no where near that level that they aren't going to be out of position late game.
I'm not calling for nerfs or anything to these champs' late game damage....I'm just asking how the ability to completely delete someone so quickly isn't considered good?
Because there are mages can do that to an every squishy on a team in a team fight (well, maybe not anymore due to sterak's and maw) and are much harder to peel due to being ranged and using strong AOE abilities, while also having utility on their own, like Lux, Azir, or Brand
Because assassins can only reliably kill squishies late game, whereas late game badasses like Master Yi (who is "technically" an assassin, but doesn't really fit the role), Vayne, Twitch, or Jax can also melt tanks.
Because assassins like Zed are often forced to split push late game where they fall off, and will be murdered in a 1v1 by a dedicated splitpusher like Tryndamere, Nasus, Jax, or Master Yi.
I mean, it varies depending on the champion. Zed's late game is quite weak, whereas Fizz's is quite strong.
