Why does Zed have mage like poke?
You would think with all the tools he has, that he wouldn't be able to poke as hard as a champ without those tools.

Because Riot doesn't like mages ... duhhh JK Honestly, energy-based champions are so much more powerful this season/meta, especially since most of them are early-game
No it's not a joke, it's obvious Riot hates mages...or anything AP for that matter.
Today I learned when 3 out of the 5 energy based champions are doing bad, "energy-based champions are so much more powerful this season."
Which one besides Akali is doing bad?
You know kennen, the guy with a non existent pick rate, and still has a mediocre win rate. I could have sworn champions that were only played by their mains did better than that.
And Shen, the guy who was just reworked and is doing terribly right now because no one knows what their doing with him.
In what world are "energy champions so much more powerful this season."
When half of the mage roster consists of point and click uncounterable poke it makes sense.
So tell me again how a skillshot that can easily miss or be negated is unfair to play against? you know what isn't fair to play against??
AND MANY MORE that have bs poking kits
lmao
Oh it's you again... I'll restate that your account name is a blatant Zed reference, which means that any feedback you have regarding his balance is biased, and therefore invalid. But I'll humor you for the sake of argument.
LB gets shut down by landing a LITTLE CC....
Kat?... Really? Lol.
and what part of Zed's Q is easy to dodge? It travels super fast and there can be up to 3 of them... It's also much wider than you'd think it would be...
Then there's the whole 'he gets to blink up to 4 times in one play' thing... cuz you know... balance >_>
I swear the balance team buys a shitload of narcotics every weekend and just goes to town.
'Perfect imbalance' my left ass cheek.

As opposed to all the biased balance opinions from people who hate him and don't play him. Theirs is valid for some reason because we all know that salt is a firm basis for an accurate opinion.
lol good point. And well said too.
Today I learned that Zed has 4 blinks in his kit
and you have a mobility cocktail from hellI'm willing to debate this point and defend my math skills, but I count 4 possible blinks on that list.
His ult isn't a blink and flash is not unique to his kit. That's only 2 blinks.
Still amounts to having up to 4 Flash-range mobility tools available for 1 play.
Also you should read before you reply; I never said flash was unique to his kit.
That's like saying Mordekaiser is overpowered because he has tons of damage in his kit on top of a blink which makes it easy to get said damage off. Doesn't work like that.
His ult is a blink. First cast is a delayed targeted blink, the second cast is a blink. I mean, the tooltip technically says the first part is a dash, but its an untargetable dash - the only in the game. (As opposed to CC-Immune dashes like Vi or Malphite who can be killed mid-flight or regular dashes that can be stopped mid-dash by CC). Its interaction has a lot more similarities to Blinks than it does a Dash.
Youre right about flash.
edit - remembered that fizz has an untargetable dash.
His ult is a blink, as he is immune to all CC and dmg during the effect.
Fizz E, for instant, also provide immunity but is a dash, as the dash distance reduces if he was under a slow before E.

He is not. Any tethers or ignite or current DOT will apply. For instance, Morgana ult will deal damage and stun him even if he ults just before her ult goes off.
Pretty sure he is immune if the stun procs when he disappears.
No, just like Fizz, he continues taking damage and does not break tethers, but cannot be targeted by anything that has not hit him yet.
(Incoming downvotes for giving a factual statement about Zed with no possible room for bias)
Nothing remove tender if still within range, even flash or Ezreal's E.
"Blink" refers to the ability to 'disappear' for a short period of time before reappear at the destination, during which the caster is immune to dmg and CC.
during which the caster is immune to dmg and CC.
Then Zed's R and Fizz's E are not blinks. They can still take damage during those abilities.
4 blinks. That has meme potential.
I count 4 blinks... and there's nothing funny about that.
Your flash won't be up everytime you ult. Also please don't say after doing a hefty amount of damage because your ult doesnt do damage when it just gets removed, and trust me it gets removed every...fucking..time. Anyway I count 3 blinks :^).
Then there's the whole 'he gets to blink up to 4 times in one play' thing... cuz you know... balance >_>
I said UP TO 4 times in 1 play... English is funny that way you see, adding just a few little words will turn a sentence from an absolute to a contingency statement.
You count UP TO 4 blinks and you're having a hard time admitting that you're wrong, get over it ^_^
No man, you're just straight up wrong.
I'm sorry, who are you? And what is your argument?
Man that downvote really turned me on ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
Uh.. huh... Sooooooo who are you?
And did you have an argument? Or...
Oh, excuse my rudeness. Let me introduce myself. I'm XxKatarinaMainxX, and I think your argument sucks dick.
That's my argument. 8)

For starters, zed q doesn't travel super fast and in lane when he used the w+q combo its very easy to see and dodge
Zed can also only blink up to 3 times at the max in a play..ult, ult back, and shadow, you know who can blink 4 times in one play?
oh yeah and the blinks also do TONS of damage, shut down by a little CC? when you have 2 dashes and then 2 retry buttons, a little cc wont do anything
Edit: forgot to mention id be downvoted to oblivion for saying zed isnt broken
I can say with 80% confidence that if I play
into an LB I can shut her down with the CC they have + a semi-competent team. Long as I don't feed in lane and stay out of her dash range,
is really not that bad...
Add to that the fact that she has zero options for sustain, and she really falls away from the ranks of the more toxic assassins, namely
(there are others but these are just some examples).
Wait. I feel like
all would be good against Zed too. Zed is kind of like a AD Leblanc in my opinion, and all the same things apply to him (of course not to the same degreee).
Correct me if I'm wrong because I play none of these champions.
-Ahri can charm him when he ults and kick his ass before he hits 6 with said charm (cause i thought the only problem with Leblanc and Zed is when they get their ults), and her ult challenges his mobility, so basically it comes down to who can juke who the most.
-Morg can ult when Zed Ults and unless you flashed away from his original point after he ulted you, he should still be in ult range (and does her black shield stop the Death mark from applying on you?)
-Swain can do the Crow Claw thing under himself when he gets ulted (or slightly to the back of himself) but since it got nerfed that one might be harder. Plus he also gets his main thing at 6 so it might just come down to skill level at that point.
I don't play Zed, or any of the champs in question, so ignore my opinion if you will, but I honestly do not feel like he is as bad as everyone is making him out to be.
malz doesnt have poke and kassadin's "poke" should only be used in trades since he doesnt have the mana to spam it/ fizz has no poke katerinas "poke" is so weak its not even fair to call it poke

Malzahar has poke. Is not Ziggs poke, but he can.
i guess he can have poke. but its best use is when he puts it in a minion wave and lets it clear itself

Because he doesn't.

He does, though. Like, Zed can harass about as well as your average mage, except without having to use mana. Obviously dedicated poke champs like Lux or Ziggs are better at it, but they don't have a massive all-in.
I beg to differ, Lux has a pretty decent all-in and Ziggs has an ok one if you can hit it.
lux never "allins" the closest thing to an all in on lux would be q auto e ult
q auto e ult
that's pretty much an all-in....
No.....it's not...Landing a skill combo isn't an all-in.
that is all of Lux's damaging abilities, All-in.
While you sit at massive range. Not an All-In.
Define "all-in" then.
While I'm not really agreeing with either of you, but this is what I get out of this
He defines "all-in" as "blowing all cooldowns and putting yourself at significant risk to kill them", basically turning the scenario in to a deathmatch.
Where as you define it as a full combo
If that was the case, then Lux's E-AA-Q-AA is an all-in, because she blew out all her spells and put herself in risk by getting close enough to AA.
Being close enough to AA is barely a risk in Lux's case, especially if she hits her cc in the combo.
The classical All-In in having everything on cooldown while sitting in melee range. Either you kill them or you die. A simple lux combo is not like that, even if she comes "close" to aa.
If Lux uses her Q and E, then gets into AA range, she puts herself in danger, because she just used all of her damage(minus ult) and CC and is in range for any other champion to retaliate, either immediately in case of mages or once the CC expires in case of assassins.
You see, I have no problem playing with Lux, assuming I survive her spamming E on my face from across the screen. Want to know why? Because the moment she gets into AA range I either take most of her HP or outright kill her.
I also have no problems playing aganist pre-6 Zed, because unless I get into his Living Shadow range he can't even poke me, unlike Lux who will always hit her poke on immobile champions.
"You're a wizard Zed!"
"I'm a what?"
