the new dot passive on machete and the dot passive from smiting frog dont kill. they only will bring the monster down to 1. well...champ dots WILL kill monsters. so if Darius' bleed or twitch's poison is on the monster it can hit 1 hp from the machete dots and then die to the leashers dots.

Should be smiting the mob as it spawns anyway
And generally leashes don't last long enough to be in kill range

to secure the kill, or just use an ability/enhanced autos while the monster is about to die.

if your allies are helping it's just about as good to have the buff for longer on the end of your clear than earlier against an enemy that you're getting help with.

Try leaving so that by the time the buff dies the DOT wears off. Common sense is apparently hard.
