Winter map

I'm pretty new to league, so I'm not sure if they do this every year. Recently I was playing, and everything was fine. Then I load into a new game and BAM the map looks all cold and wintery. Now at first it looked kind of cool, but eventually it started to hurt my eyes. Not like, "too bright" hurt my eyes, but for some reason the contrast between the creeps and the background feels really off. It's really hard to concentrate for me because of this.

Is there any way I can disable it? Since it makes no gameplay changes is there any reason I shouldn't be able to turn it off?

If there is no way to do it, how long should I wait? When is it expected to be removed?

Same. I can't play normals right now because it induced a migraine. But I don't necessarily want to go into ranked after a long day of work. Kind sucks, tbh.

Only places you don't see it is in Ranked, so I guess you could go there? But no, there's no way to turn it off till it has run its coarse.

Same here, I have to play on lower settings due to my laptop's specs. The map hurts my eyes too. x-x

Sadly we have to deal with it for a few patches.

i just got a response from support for a ticket i send, with the result: we should do an >RIOT< HERE, if we want to be heard.

#While can't pass feedback reports directly to the development team, I recommend posting to the Boards because you might not be the only one affected by this.
