I'm new, also Yasuo T.T

I'm fairly new to league and I've been mainly playing mid with syndra and aurelion sol. I mostly do fine with the exception of a few heroes that give me trouble like fizz.

Except for Yasuo. Jesus Christ I cannot even touch him. I'm lucky if I go 1-3 against him in a lane. He always has more creep score than me by a factor of 2 because of his mad farming ability. He always has infinite close/retreat capability and is able to do massive damage, exhaust my potions and make me recall or risk feeding him. I can't even get near my minions in fear that he will destroy me. His whirlwind stun is so hard to dodge even with boots and lasts long enough for him to destroy me. His shield makes it so that he is so hard to kill and absorbs a lot of damage and his scaling is nuts.

I heard Syndra was mid god tier, so what am I doing wrong? Any common mistakes noobs like me make vs Yasuo? I try to get rid of his shield before doing any damage to him, stay away from minions, build seekers armguard early for armor, try to bait out his stun before moving forward, try farming my best under tower when I can. What else can I do?

Just hearing his Japanese battle cries tilts me to no end.
