I had 2 games against a yi, the way he 1v5 my team makes me cry, yes I lost. One game I was a 7/0/13 trundle I played the game perfectly from the start, suddenly yi starts to 1v5 our team with ult and youmouss, he dived our carries and 3 shotted them, using his q to avoid cc. Another game that yi did the same but he went hybrid sustain tank, PD,PD,IE,BT,Banshee,Omen. Doesn't matter if we cc him especially in teamfights, he had high sustain and tankiness with banshees and omen. He will did insane damage. Yi if used correctly when fed is broken. The part I QQ and was upset after, I played my role perfectly and had thornmail, 7/0/13. Next game tested yi top, got fed as yi, early cheese, went 31/8/10 had banshees 1v5. This was gold 3 elo.

If you team has at least a little CC, Yi dies super fast. His real strength is split pushing.

Are you bronze? Seeing you got 31/8/10 as Yi has convinced me that.

That totally explains why he is 90% pick/ban in pro scenes sporting a 50+% win rate there too right?

A good Yi would be hard to catch, but that really doesn't mean he is broken. Half (or more) the game is made from the ground up to deny his existence, one just need to use them.

dude if you are good at a champion, it will be broken...and btw yi is not even close to being broken....

yes, Bruiser Yi will shut down your whole team while dodging skillshots and facetanking everything and sustaining through it all if you let him get that big. Yes, assassin Yi will 3 shot your carries while being untargettable half the time. The key is to not let him get that big, because pre-6 he's just a big walking doublebuff. After he gets big, then hope he makes a mistake.

He has no lane pressure early, he can be starved/zoned easily and he doesnt fit in the toplane in general, as jungler he leaves your team 4v5ing and he can be 1shot late, aswell as having no poke, no siege...

ok .. i think i can help u out here a bit....

since u told me his build..... and he dosnt have last whisper....what you gotta do is just run when he engages a fight on you since he will activate his E......dont even fight back....just last 5 seconds, once his E is done, u'll easily kill him. This should work against this specific yi build in my opinion. Another thing to keep in mind is hes very weak without his ult try make him use it to chase you or someone on your team with lots of mobility (ie, karma, sivir etc) If his ults down... he probably won't even join a team fight.....

just know this guy is an AD version of kat......he gets damage, he blows people up.... he gets cc'd hes dead.....

Yi is annoying. But his main strength can be taken away from building an item that applies grievous wounds or igniting him. He'll fall real quick once you take his liftesteal and healing away. Just a tip...
