Problem with Spear of Sho'Jin on mana based champions.

Hello, I hope riot is reading this because this post was intended to reach the balance team for possible changes to Spear of Sho Jin.

So, the thing that keeps me and many other jax mains from wanting to build it is we run out of mana so fast with it. Countless times I have been forced to reset simply because I keep running out of mana after only one fight/skirmish. In patch 9.3 riot removed the essence flare passive and transferred it to Spear of Sho Jin, but I'm kind of confused on why they didn't transfer the 1% basic attack refund passive as well? It's kind of unfair to jax players that riven and renekton can use it without a problem since they're not mana-based. I also don't think it's unreasonable to ask this because the essence reaver prior to 9.3 had the essence flare passive, and the 1% mana refund and was 400 gold cheaper. Tf blade said it himself he refuses to build it because he runs out of mana too fast. I think lowering the 250 health from SOS to buffer the mana passive would be better overall.

jaxis a hyoer carry with idotic amounts of built in damage from his passive and ult passive........... are you really going to tell me that spear needs more on it because you dont know how to make proper trades or understand how to manage mana or hey maybe just maybe tweak your build a little more i mean ont some jax builds use trinity which gives you more mana n such??? your here asking for an easier jax and im sitting waiting for tanks to be relevant again lol

Why is it fair that riven and renekton can use it without ever having to worry about mana? Besides riot intentionally made spear of sho jin so that champions like jax should use it yet it's not very good. Also, given the fact that the 1% mana refund was on 8.11 to 9.3 essence reaver simply shows that riot thought it was a good enough idea to release it to live.

Because Riven and Renekton are more gated by cooldowns than mana-based champions are...

But that is the case for renekton and riven. And how is this an unreasonable request considering the 8.11 ER to 9.3 was a lot better compared to our current spear of sho jin?

item 3508 why dont you just add it to your build??? i mean your argument is like me saying well its not fair that vayne can kill a tank in 2 seconds but it happens anyways so i just ban her. what your saying is because you cant adjust to it it needs to be made easier? its called being able to adapt they split the item so that specifically non mana champs could use it without investing into the other random stats it provided. and also read the forums you have people complaining to nerf riven every other patch and renekton only has the first 20mins of a game before he just becomes a punching bag. as where jax isnt about the lane hes about the scaling oppressive 1v1 split push that no one can match or 1v1 realistically. so please just learn how to lane better or alter builds before you start crying about mana like damn lo buy item 2033 item 3025 item 3110 item 3042 and the last thing i have to say is that you are not even reliant on yours skills to kill in lane jax is litteraly a jump on you beat you to death with autos kind of champ the cdr you get is just a convenience at this point.

Build current essence reaver on jax? Are you out of your mind....? why would anyone in the right mind build tear frozen heart or iceborn gaunlet on jax?That is literally the definition of soft inting. If it's such a bad idea explain why old essence reaver had the 1% basic attack refund as well as essence flare?

ohh no not any of those mana items to hep you with your mana issue who no one has....... shyvana going full ap to fit in the meta....... ornn being stuck in support shen support most tops are not even viable most mids jungles or supports cant even exist in the lane and your here talking that jax needs it easier....... and ess reaver was originally an adc item that gave mana and such on crits if im not mistaken and that ws before they added the the shojin passive.

YOU PLAY JAX!!!!!!!! the normal trade for him is litteraly qew to trade and get out with minimal loss of hp and again jax is supposed to be weak in the early phases of the game the mana issue isnt even a problem like jesus god forbid you cant jump to minions or wards with no worry about your mana. want to talk about micro play learn to manage your mana damn man lol get the fuck our of my lane.

You understand that those items are completely horrible on jax right? Why would i just not build SOJ and get 40% cdr from runes instead of building spear of shojin and a completely unnecessary mana item that takes up one of my FIVE item slots? Come on dude.....

again you are talking about a champ that is viable and has a decent winrate and play rate while champs like shvana have adjusted going full ap to even stay viable in solo que and your talking about not wanting to change your 1 rune page or adjusting builds because hey it should be built in????? your logic is idiotic ohh and garren doesnt need trinity but he builds it to stay viable a lot of champs do this to fix the issues they are having....... your mana problem isnt an issue its litteraly just a mechanic to him at this point to make it harder to scale so soon. if you cant understand that im done at this point maybe try playing another champ and see how they struggle to even get out of the lane at times.

What rank are you so I can get a rough idea of your game knowledge? Also explain why TF blade has admitted literally 15-20 times on stream that he refuses to build it because of the mana issues. This post was made to try to get a better understanding of why the 1% mana refund WAS NOT trasnferred to SOS but essence flare passive was.
