That new dragon mechanic has saved many games of mine. If a dot that does over 5x the amount of damage deathfire's touch does from the get go(add another 5x for each buff you have) IN TRUE DAMAGE, and is always 3 seconds regardless of the type of spell or attack that spawns it, is not a comeback advantage to you, then what are you doing?
Sure it does next to nothing if you have no buffs, but that is why you have to contest the dragon!(which, by the way, was the goal they were aiming for) They wanted you to think hard about letting the enemy take the dragon without contest, and before the update if the dragon was getting killed by the entire enemy team, how many people tried to contest it? Not many. But now if the enemy is trying to kill the elder dragon with 2-3 buffs to their name, unless you are being stomped hard ,you try to contest it.
And the dragon is not a comeback mechanic(that is baron by the way) it is a ramping buff that stacks throughout the game. The elder dragon just adds more damage and increased buffs.
