New Clash rules and Honor level 0

So i've been banned for 14 days like 1 and a half month ago. I stopped flaming and honored everyone in my games. I constantly played and get honors about everygame. With the new clash introduced my friends on inviting me to play but i can't since im at honor 0 checkpoint 1. Can someone explain to me how the honor system works and why i won't got to checkpoint 1 at honor 0 after almost 2 months. (I got to like honor 5 last season in 2 months)
