So tired of the Veigar QQ

"OMG they gutted him" "Now we have to wait multiple patches till he's back to normal again"

Are you that ignorant to not understand that old Veigar was extremely unhealthy for the game? Do you realize that Veigar wasn't strong at all prior to his changes which is why you never saw him in the LCS? Veigar went one of two ways in each and every match:

  1. Terrible and a detriment to the team because you took advantage of his absolutely horrific early game and made him feed.

  2. Absolute monster that had absolutely zero counterplay with a massive aoe stun with no cast time and 4 massive nukes. 3 of which were point and click deleter (including dfg) and the other an aoe nuke which if you hit your stun it might as well be point and click except you can hit multiple people with it.

Now Riot is finally giving him the rework he deserves. They are giving him counterplay. Yes, he's not in a good spot right now but at least they can finally tweak and buff him into viability where before it wasn't healthy to do that. You really think Riot doesn'the understand that he's having trouble? You think Riot hasn'the seen the hundreds of threads about him that say the same thing? Give them some time, you don't get something right the first time especially when you change so much. They removed an item, and changed 3 out of 4 of his abilities. Give them time and you'll find yourself with a better champion than you had before instead of the old shitty one that for some reason you want back.

Kalista countering every melee ever is far more cancerous than Veigar ever was.

Couldn't disagree more. Viegar's win rate was just below 50% before the nerf. If Riot is truly trying to make a champion balanced than they should aim for a 50% win rate in all champions. Taking a champ that was already a hyper carry, and gutting him at all stages of the game just because people couldn't be bothered to build merctreads or a QSS is ridiculous.

What gives me hope is that he's getting a minor buff in PBE where dash-users can no longer just zip through his stun while it's up (though "blink" champs can still pass it). Still, I think maybe if the duration was slightly shorter or the cast range of the skill increased, Veigar would feel less handicapped in trying to land a stun. I don't know, I just find it humiliating that even a Co-Op vs. AI bot can easily walk right out of that skill.

I'm just glad I don't have to face that stunbot in bot lane anymore.

Do YOU seriously not get that the reason Veigar is being brought up doesn't really have anything to do with Veigar?

"old Veigar was extremely unhealthy for the game?" [citation needed] Any valid reason will do. You say yourself that he wasn't even that strong.

Do you not understand the reason everyone is making a case about Veiger is because he is emblematic of the problems of how this game is modified? That he is latest symptom of longstanding?

This Veigar Incident shows many things, among he is another instance that the balance team is on two different pages about their goals. That's actually too generous; make that four different pages. I don't want to make broad claims but too many people have made arguments about this. Thinks like instances of patches being released with justifications that contradict reasons for changes they made in the last patch.
