@Riot You need to create a whole new tutorial system for new players, please read
So my friend just built a new computer and downloaded League last night. It's extremely hard to teach her how to play this game cause this game is extremely complex. Being a seasoned player this game may seem extremely basic and casual compared to other MOBA's but as a new player, there is SO much to understand in this game when it comes to how to win, bushes, wards, items, invisibility, laning, last hitting, objectives, jungling, buffs, different damage types or other stats, team fights, laning phase, etc.
You need to make a series of mini tutorials explaining each aspect of the game in detail that people can choose from and complete individually. The only reason I was able to get into this game was through a lot of personal research. Not everyone is that kind of person or even more so not everyone wants to get into League badly enough to put forth the effort to do all the research and eventually find out that they love the game. Which is the case with my friend as I told her she needs to download this game and play it with me but it's not like she found the game by herself and decided she wanted to learn to play it thus having a higher chance on going to places other than the League client for hours figuring out how everything works.
Point is, the tutorials on the client do nothing towards getting a player to understand this game even on a basic level and you have to do hours of outside research with lots of reading and watching other people play before you feel even slightly comfortable on what you need to do. This game needs a better learning system.
