TIL that Thresh's hook animation indicates a 180 degree arc inside of which the hook will be thrown.

Every other hook support's vital skillshot, and even non-hook-support skillshots turn the champion toward where their skillshot is aimed. Thresh's, however, will only turn him at all if he's throwing more than 90 degrees away from the last direction he moved. So his animation is unreadable, leaving the target guessing as to where he's aiming. Pyke's is even worse. The guy can throw directly backwards with no indication until the moment the hook is launched. https://media.giphy.com/media/1yjHvfIjF4ETFAvRdA/giphy.gif https://media.giphy.com/media/AiEVnPg3gzarf8Vbgy/giphy.gif https://media.giphy.com/media/ZNM4g3k2kvd14e2e8o/giphy.gif

maybe because both thresh and pyke have a real cast time /channel before they throw their shit? leona/blitz/nami/lux or who ever will throw their shit in half a moment so their animation is meaning less when you already see the projectile

imagine if thresh and pyke had to look at where their hooking and kept their cast time and channel, the enemy would either need to be trolling or stuned before hand to get hit by that.
