And right now, all i see is a support, not a mage. The ap ratio on his ult was halfed, the ap ratio on his e and q were both dropped considerably much along with a decent hit to his base damage, all in favor of flat percent health damage (with some ap scaling). What does say to me? Support.

He's quite potent as a mid laner right now on the PBE especially in terms of team fight. His ultimate also feels quite a bit better. If anything he's a bit too strong but we shall see on live.

So you could possibly hit 20% per person hit by the new eruption part of his passive and that will hurt. so much. + the burn damage
Brand will pretty much become the mage to quite literally 'melt' tanks. and squishies alike
