I used to play a lot of support in season 3 and 4 but lately I just really don't like the feel of it anymore. Knowing that 2 of my item slots are forced buys no matter what isn't appealing to me. Support items themselves are pretty good for gold generation and stats but Sightstone just feels horrible. 200HP +3 wards for my first 800 gold. Eh. Why not make upgrading your support item give you more charges to your trinket or having another interaction like support item->unlocks more ward trinket options like +1/2/3 charges or something a la smite=jungling items? It would free up an item slot for supports and get rid of this ugly 200/400HP item with 3/5 more wards in it. Hell even add something like Sightstone->Deep Blue/Red/Green Sightstone that give something like Deep Blue X AP 10/15 HP5 and MP5, Red X CDR HP/MP5, Green bonus HP and regen as well. Anything to make Sightstone more appealing as an item not just a more ward item that happens to give me 1 auto attacks worth of HP

i think if it got buffs more would grab it. like vision would be free as hell then with some junglers taking it/support and maybe even top lane depending if the stats are good enough

Upgrading trinket is very op - no need for sighstone.

It could be restricted like jungle items are. If you have ignite/teleport/smite you can't buy it. The only two summoners I ever see supports have are flash+exhaust/heal if the ADC has ignite. I saw a clarity once or twice but not recently. Anything to make Sightstone not just a ward stack that gives 200/400 HP
