@Riot, PLEASE keep the Butcher's Bridge map!

I haven't been playing League as much recently and I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the new champion, Pyke. However, it was only just now that I discovered there was a completely new map for the ARAM game mode - and what I joined into was absolutely phenomenal.

This map brings such a fresh feeling to ARAM and League in general that I was stunned in awe at just how immersive the surroundings were. The new turret designs, the bridge itself, hell, even the new shops were fun to look at.

But what really takes the cake with this map is the unplayable part - the areas on the side of the bridge.

Just...holy shit.

The amount of detail and intricacy that Riot decided to add to this part of the map (which is typically forgettable) has now made Butcher's Bridge probably the most sensational map I have ever seen in my 6 years of League, both aesthetically and audibly. I am the farthest from exaggeration when I say I could literally open a practice game and sit AFK in fountain just listening and observing the beautiful artwork and lively sound design. I absolutely love the pirate theme and I feel as though this map encapsulates that theme astoundingly.

From the sounds of people cheering inside the taverns to the seagulls cawing - from the giant hammerhead shark hooked on and dangling from the clinking chain to the ships flowing gently down the bubbly waters and into the creaky docks...It is so incredibly immersive that I felt like I was in Bilgewater and this is something I have very rarely felt in this game (not shade, just shows how great they did!).

I truly appreciate the time put into this map and I am overwhelmingly satisfied, which is why I say this map should stay.

Permanently. And if not that, it could become something of a map skin, that only the players who have chosen it can see. This map is incredible artistically and was obviously time consuming based on the sheer attention to detail alone. It would be a shame to see it vaulted after the Pyke event, never to return.

So with that said...make it a thing Riot! :D

P.S -- still waiting on that League MMORPG btw

Butcher’s Bridge is several years old now, and we first made it without the benefits of our new map pipelines and tools. We decided to overhaul both Butcher’s Bridge and the Howling Abyss, bringing them into the environment tech we first used on Project: Overcharge last year. The upgraded map uses our new lighting system, supports relative team colors, and is significantly easier to maintain.

I hope that means that it will be coming back every once a while. It would be a shame otherwise.

Hope this gets to @riot, Butcher’s Bridge is one the best scenarios i've seen in league, freljord is nice and all, but it can't be compared to bilgewater. Make it a trend

I totally agree. Please keep Butcher's Bridge. Aram is outdated!
