There's two types of people who main top lane.

There are the top lane "mains" who think you can main something just because you've played it a lot lately. These are the people you're talking about. If you feel entitled to ganks go play mid lane or something.

Then there's the top lane mains who are like "WTF I'M NOT GETTING CAMPED? MUST PUSH HARDER" and use their lane pressure to force extra opponents to come top, rather than bother the other lanes. These are the people who have earned the right to call themselves a top lane main.

I am a toplane main, and i realized lately that crying for ganks is pointless. Top lane is the least important lane of all three, and it has the least impact if won (although there are exceptions such as Riven, Darius, Irelia, etc.) I play tanks like Shen, Sion, Maokai and other shit like this all the time, and i am actually a bit angry at my jungler when he ganks my lane, because that presence and time and vision control that a gank requires could be invested at an other lane. You don't have to get matched with junglers who camp your lane all the time, you have to adapt, and pick champions that don't really need it, or you need to improve your laning or vision or hell, why not both.
