Reduce LP gain from win, and remove divisional promos? (Discussion)

On paper, 2/3 wins, and 3/5 wins seems reasonable right?

(Warning: The assertion below is to be taken with a grain of salt and is merely laying foundation as an example for my argument.) Ok, well lets say 1/2 of every promo is trolled and unwinnable. Now its 33% chance to succeed in promos.

Too far fetched? Of course it is, you probably won't get trolled 50% of your games but the example i'm setting is that promos should not be the idea of "Win 2/3 of your games, which is already a gamble added on top of the other gamble that your teammates might lose/troll."

We WILL LOSE games due to teammates. That is a fact, not every game is winnable because you are only one man on a team of five. (subject to change next season)

If ranked is a game of PERSONAL skill, then why add more and more barricades to the climb?

You could use the argument of "Keep climbing and eventually you will rank up if you are good"

That argument is certainly popular and holds truth, but here's the problem with that:

1. You are reinforcing the idea that chance is one of the major dictators of the ranked climb by saying eventually you will succeed.
2. In a game as casual as league, why make the experience unnecessarily hardcore in areas it doesn't need to be?

If people are bad they will drop, and I understand promotional games from an entire league, but divisional promos are unnecessary and just toxic. The reason why most players don't play ranked? Because they are playing casually and the ranked system is too much of an investment.

Feel free to comment, not trying to be toxic or circle-jerk here this is my honest opinion. I tried to keep personal bias out of this, and since Season 5 ranked was literally non-existent to me (mostly because of the reasons above) I might not be the right spokesperson here. I'm starting this discussion to maybe get people to punch holes in my argument and give me hope for next season, or maybe start something that could start a change if it is a flawed system; however with the new ranked queue coming up this entire thread might be invalid. Whatever, its fun to be salty at Riot concepts. ;^)
