No More Zeds And Yasuos Please

Can we please, for the love of god, have one meta where Yasuo and Zed aren't played in every single game. Not only are they both infuriating to deal with, and with them being so strong right now due to their mobility and AD items being so overpowered(LOOKING AT YOU DUSKBLADE), but it's just boring to literally see the same champions in every game. These two are the reason I don't play mid lane anymore, because they're either overpowered af, or just on the borderline between overpowered af and balanced.

Even in fucking tank meta I had to deal with these two, TANK META, because somebody discovered tank Yasuo, and then everybody had to go tank Yasuo. Honestly, at this point, these two have become so embedded in mid lane, more Zed than Yasuo, that you can't be a mid laner, or even go mid, without playing one of these two champions. I love mages, I love Orianna and Syndra and even Lissandra, but I always end up having to deal with these two. Whenever I ban Yasuo, I end up facing Zed, when I ban Zed, I end up facing Yasuo, and for some reason my team never gets the idea to maybe ban the champions that are consistently the most annoying, and frustrating, champions to deal with.

I just hope that now that Akali has the whole "I can't be hit even when under enemy tower" thing going on, all the edgelords and people who only play champions that they think are "busted" and "broken" will move on. At least then I won't have to deal with the same two champions every game.

I main Ahri so I usually enjoy laning vs Yasuo " laning only " usually I crush him , tho it's hard to bait out everything he has and all in , but I kinda don't suffer always " in laning only " but then he gets some items and became brain dead and doesn't even care about dodging my charm because he will just e q e q 2 minions and heal his f*ng hp thanks to and take low damage thanks to his passive shield and what the actual fk , I swear I was kind of going to defend Yasuo but ended up complaining about him .. anyway for , usually he is my perma ban , let him rot in hell , even 3 f** dashes won't save you from him because he misses everything and kills you , played extremely well like a challenger ? dw he buys item 3155 and not even faker can kill him and I don't know why part of my comment is kind of weird , idk how to explain nvm lol

As a Karthus main it's really been a lot of fun these last couple months. Actually my last game was against Zed mid, Talon Jungle, and Wukong top. At some point you just have to accept you're gonna die a few times.

So much truth, it's so irritating. I love Orianna Syndra Anivia Annie and others but Zed and Yasuo cs so easily and shove and just out damage all of them so easily in laning phase before you can react. Fizz and Talon too. I see each of these champions on a daily.

I tried to combat these champions with other lane bully champions like Xerath Leblanc Nidalee Vladimir but I just can't deal with EVERY game being just Fizz Zed Yasuo Talon

I never thought Yasuo or Zed belonged in the game in the first place. Now if Riot gets rid of the cancer the people who like to play the cancer will be upset. Riot shot themselves in the foot and no amount of surgery can fix it.

Yasuo went tanksuo because his base stats were so high that building tank didn't stop him from still doing damage. He was just in a severe need of a nerf at that point. Tanksuo is not an inherintly good build for him.

Also these 2 champs are just fun. In Fighting games you will see A LOT of the same characters even if they're not the best.

Fun champions are fun even at a 48% winrate which Zed was at before the two buffs and he was still played a lot. When Yasuo was at a 47% winrate, he was played a lot.

Played a game as Jhin. Enemy team had ADC Yasuo and Support Zed. Needless to say I did not have fun that game.

Or, great idea here, just learn to play against those 2 champions instead of complaining about them every 2 seconds and maybe youd find them to be manageable. You play Orianna and Lissandra yet you struggle against Zed and Yasuo? Like what? While I do agree Yas is in a powerful spot right now, I dont see how zed with his non-existence high elo pick rate and 47% winrate are considered overpowered. He excels at low elo because everyone plays against him like idiots. Zed has a 22 second cooldown on his W. As orianna and lissandra, once he uses that W, he is open to 22 seconds of you denying him farm and harassing him and getting ganked because there is nothing he can do in return.

Same thing with Yasuo. None of Oriannas attacks are even projectiles and Lissandra is so good against Yasuo. Simply purchasing Tabi`s and/or armguard is a massive early game hit to zed and yasuo. Stop complaining about the champ and learn to play the game. I have 0 problem laning against either of those champions.

If you lack the ability to capitalize on these long early game cooldowns and not respect when Zed has his ult up and not to play overly aggressive, thats not the champions fault. Thats your inability to adjust your playstyle according to the champions you play against.

But if you use common sense on the boards you get downvoted, then wonder why Riot doesn`t want to listen at all.

These champs are fun to play. They are not one dimension. It's not just point and click and get 20 kills. You actually put in effort and when they are rewarded, it feels good. You saying that you don't want to see them every game is daft. They have pretty much high banrates at the moment so if you ban one, there's a high chance the other is banned. You're pretty much whining at this point.

People like these champs, sorry to break it to you. Even when yas and zed had shitty win rates they were popular, because people like playing them. And good for them, at least they can enjoy their champ without whining about meta picks - they just play what they like.

Be edgier. Play galio vs zed and tanks against yasuo (preferably Rock solid Malphite ). Go annoy them that way :v

Using mastery to measure how hard a champ is is pointless. Compare your gameplay to Yassuo's. Tell me which Yasuo is superior. His skill ceiling is not overrated. The are so many things to micromanage. Suppose a bronze yasuo is 1v2 against nami and lux with his 3rd Q cast ready and there are 3 minions between them. Now, a bronze Yasuo will dash to 3 minions, windwall the lux Q and ult. Then proceeds to die because he got locked down by nami. A plat+ Yasuo will dash 2 minions, flash knockup the lux to dodge the Q, while she's airborne, windwall in front of nami and ult lux. Since Nami's ult and Q can't penetrate windwall, lux is an easy kill and so is Nami. This is one of numerous scenarios you can face with Yasuo. It's not as simple as, "oh dash dash dash auto auto q q ult kill". Nope. So mastery 7 doesn't mean jackshit because anyone can go to normals and pubstomp with Yasuo.

Eh. I remember having the same thought about Lee Sin when he was picked or banned almost 100% of the time... for years. I couldn't stand seeing his face on the screen anymore.

For the record, i also strongly dislike both Yas and Zed.

But Akali isnt bad to play against as a mage, everything she does is pretty straightforward and her smoke wont hide her from AOE.

Zed and Yasuo being played every game has jack shit to do with how good they are.

They're popular because they're "cool" champions. It has nothing to do with them actually being good, as we know from previous data that Yasuo will be played a shitton even when he's the worst champion in the game.

You want a meta where Zed and Yasuo aren't being played a ton? Look at some other game, then, or climb to Masters, because you won't find that anywhere below that rank in League.

play rate have a lot of factors like meta/enjoyment/streamers ect ect

if you think of it a windy samurai that have huge outplaying kit and can carry and get all the kills will be loved by more ppl then lets say mage who blow their kit in teamfights and call it a day. and then we have an assassin that kill ppl while giving them his back like a badass main character of a random anime (and i bet that faker zed play made a lot play him).

same goes in other mobas btw for example pudge and invoker see tons of play in all dota brackets because 2 pros (dendi and miracle) did epic plays on them and now everyone try to be them.

I understand Zed and Yasuo are annoying. But if a Zed falls behind he has hard time killing you especially with hard counters like QSS and Zhonyas. Yasuo on the other hand just need one good knockup later in the game and an Insta-Q after it and he is already back in the game.

Ahri is btw a very good counter to Zed. If you lose as Ahri vs Zed you are bad and need improvement.

And for me personally there are plenty others who are broken or just toxic to play against. Who? Here a few examples:

Anivia, Cassio, Vlad, Velkoz, Veigar, Wukong, Shaco, FIZZ ( literally who had the idea to give this dude two easy dashes which both do dmg and an ult with a slow and massiv hitbox? The guy who made Fizz should be already fired imo)

Why would I waste a ban on those two when Garen exists. Zed can be managed, Yasuo can be managed. Garen is impossible to manage and will just run over your team by himself if he gets a single kill in lane.
