Darius passive AD scaling issue

KasatkaHuemay··6 votes·1,220 views

Can someone explain to me why does it grant so random amount of AD? This is simply awkward. Here we have current model. http://i.piccy.info/i9/cfae3e8cd4f0f659fbfe91e55a331791/1464064754/3061/1036985/2016_05_24_12_36_21.png Really strong level 1-4 and useless 6-8. His ultimate deals pathetic amount of damage pre level 10 because passive ability overtakes missed levels. Darius's first levels are toxc af for the opponent cuz Darius literally bully people out of the toplane simply by autoattacking and rushing forward for the "cheese play". How about to shift his power a bit? http://i.piccy.info/i9/a4a4e6547a0dd13e75b1efcc22f9eaa5/1464064857/3967/1036985/2016_05_24_12_40_36.png See? Softer early game without crazy cheese kills and snowball and decent ad growth if he doesn't make mistakes. He gets punished for not killing opponents in lane by current passive scaling which isn't really fair. That means if Darius stays in lane without huge exp lead enemy champion with the same level simply outclass him once he reach his ultimate. Any suggestions? What do you think guys?

It's not random, they took item 3071 into the calculations.

It's probably because the "shifted" model you suggest is even more cheesy. Darius levels up too often in the earlygame for the passive to scale with every level. The level-up cheese would be real (you'd expect a certain amount of damage, then he lvls and you all of a sudden get more than you thought you would).

No-no. First couple minutes of the laning are super important. If he manages to get you low/take advantage by zoning you (earlier level up) this is frustrating to deal against. But sometimes he can't do that so he would fall off for entire laning phase. Not healthy at all.

That's just "Laning vs Darius" though :/ I know when I lane vs him to respect the bleed and that he'll have a spike at 4, 6, and 7. With the proposed change he's just dangerous all the time...

Not at 1-4 levels. But you have to agree - getting punished for not being able to completely destroy your opponent is frustrating.

The bleed is the only thing Darius has going for him early. He needs it to be respected so that he can lane. I dislike Darius, but I don't want him gutted for it.

Nah nah it's all about lane pressure. He bullies your butt out, his jungler comes to your blue/red and Darius assist him there. Meanwhile you have to clear couple of minion waves near your turret. (If you're even alive)

Again, it's about respecting his damage and getting defenses. He shouldn't be getting free autos on you. If you have to give up a few cs so that you don't get bullied out of lane, do so. Accept that you can't fight him early.

I can deal with the fact that he's strong early when I play against the champ. But when I take Darius... Well it feels completely opposite way. Opponent usualy can wait early levels and then outclass me untill I hit 15.

What happens at 15 that changes that?

I found that the hardest part with Darius was getting kited (his passive solves some of that) and getting used to Q hitbox.

From my experience darius is always strong, early, mid and late.

This inherent strength is gated by the fact that he's incredibly kite-able. But if he gets on to you, whether he's level 1 or 18, very few champions can stay in his face and go toe to toe unless if they're fed or darius is behind.

i dont think so he will be weaker with that nerf.

LostFr0st1 votes

Oh I realize he'd be weaker numberswise and there's no reason to do that to Darius (he needs the pressure to lane) I was just elaborating on why the passive bleed doesn't scale every level early.

"Useless 6-11"

OP's version has same damage from 9 to 11.

Yeah my bad. 6-8. I just REALLY hate this stage.

hes an immobile champion that only hope is to get his passive going and ulting someone. sure he can potentially 1v5 and win a team fight by himself with just a black cleaver. but a good team will just cc him from range and poke him to death. its really an easy thing to do with darius.

though if he has flash and u dont its a problem.

also your version makes him weaker at every corresponding point. well weaker at the early levels. but same in later levels so there isn't a point to your changes.

I actually wouldnt mind this, I never liked doing the lvl 1 cheese and it would make his early lvl 1 ult better for the most part which is good, since its not very strong from lvl 6 to 8 as said in post
