So, I Have An Idea

So, Mage players have always had an issue with the fact that mages have no form of health sustain unlike ad champs. Well, why don't we just make lifesteal an adaptive stat?

Here's what I mean. There's techincally a ratio for how lifesteal is calculated with AD Champs. It's 100 total ad that is reduced by enemy armor and your lifesteal percentage. Well why not just do the same with mages. Give it X Ap ratio that is reduced by MR.

What's the purpose of these changes? Well, there are some matchups for mages where even we would prefer lane sustain over mana. And personally...I also think it would be a good idea to also make Dblade adaptive and Dring Adaptive. There are several ad champs that would prefer the mana sustain dring offers over the lifesteal dblade offers.

Comment ur thoughts.

No.

Mages are meant for burst damage or artillery assaults from outside of the enemy range. Giving them sustain on top of that kind of safety would just break them.

The mages that are meant to have sustain have it built into their designs. And even that becomes a problem at times, depending on the meta.

one thing you have to realize, is that currently if this idea went to pass, the only lifesteal they would get would be from dorans blade or Legend: Bloodline. I don't really think a little sustain for them would be a big issue. Once again, the sustain is tied to autos.

No, since the start of the game life steal has been a stat that comes with AD, besides its not sustain that mages have to worry about it's just the game ending before them reaching there spikes

but why cant it be a stat that comes with ap? No reason to. And there are several match ups where a mage would like sustain.

idk how long you have played but do you recall spellvamp? lol

yes, ive been here since s3. Spellvamp is a stat that applies specifically to spells and cannot be balanced with league's current roster. What im referring to is lifesteal based on autos that can still apply to mages.

life steal does apply to mages autos......

yes it does but mages dont build ad, they build ap so the stat is generally useless on them.
