If the Morde changes in general MUST stay, (Honest suggestions)

then some things need to be fixed to make him still good.

His Movement the w ms is too situational IMO. Only when you and your ally are moving towards each other? Unless it's like current, meaning that when either one is moving in the other's direction, not necessarily both moving toward each other at the same time, then that's fine, but it's still pretty situational change the MS gain on w to something lower, like 40, and give him 340/345 movespeed.

Reason: he is already super immobile and vulnerable to ganks.

His Q This may not be a necessity, but I really don't like this q change. honestly I prefer old q, the whole isolation/not thing was awesome. I would propose that q could be consumed on turrets.

Reason: This is mostly personal opinion, but Morde doesn't really have a way to get to people, or stay stuck to people. With old q he could at least do something about reaching people, and the increased range was nice, but not even necessary if you decided to go back to old q.

His W If the whole "only castable on an ally" thing must be a thing, then at least make it so he can cast it on minions, but with a lesser effect, like half(half damage, half movespeed, half heal, etc.), which would be in line with his passive(minions being lesser of everything). Even without the armor/mr boost, this would be a pretty good w if you stuck with it.

Reason: There is no reason to have a skill be completely useless solo on morde's type of character. In fact, the only other character I can think of that has a useless ability solo is soraka, but she's a support, and there's even a passive part on her w that makes it worth it to level the skill going solo. I don't agree with it being that way on the active, but I digress. With this change, he could still go solo, but it would have a lesser effect, but still usable. that's better than nothing.

His Ult I really like the idea of the dragon ghost thing, but it basically makes you ulting an enemy carry useless. The only change necessary here, since you buffed the base damage(thank you ever so much, even better than before base-damage wise) is to do something about ghosts in general. Some Options:

  1. When a cursed enemy dies, if another ghost is present, the later ghost will A) immediately replace the first ghost, or B) spawn after the first ghost dies/times out.
  2. If 2 ghosts would be present at the same time, both ghosts will respond to the same commands and be present.(an iffy idea, might be confusing, but it's an option)
  3. With AD scaling added back into morde's kit, although it was stated that Morde is not an AD champion, I propose that ghosts revert to their old ways of giving Morde AD. Possibly as a % of their AD, or just a flat amount granted while controlling a ghost(the first option is probably better). This change I think should be in addition to option 1 or 2.

I think that the current rework kit has promise, but as it is now, I do not like it. I am a morde main, I think that this direction would be ok, but I think the w change is really necessary. Champs shouldn't be forced into one lane only. IMO they can be BEST in one lane only, but still function in other lanes(i.e. yasuo/zed top, renekton mid(I saw one the other day in ranked), etc.), but never ONLY work in one lane. These other proposed changes I believe would really help the rework.

If any Rioter sees this, I would request that you ask CertainlyT to at least read this, even if no comment is left. I don't care about the comment, I just want the ideas out there to somebody who can do something about it.

I've never seen comments stop CertainlyT before or help persuade him to another course but here's hoping. Otherwise the balance team will have nightmares trying to make this new Morde even the slightest bit successful.

And yeah the W only on ally champ is bullshit IMO. Even Bard would have better luck in a solo lane than this. Nobody else has an ally only ability. Even zilean can ult himself. and Lee sin cans shield himself so why not give Mored the ability to W himself.

Maybe its because Morde is an immobile mage/tank champ and certainlyT only knows how to make overloaded, overpowered, ultra mobile assassins and adcs?

I at least want the ideas out there. and I believe that soraka actually can't do anything with her w solo, but even that has a passive that helps her in a different way.

I definitely agree with the ghost change; it seems odd to me how much they stressed him "not being an AD champion" when they repeatedly nerfed the gains he'd get from ghosts, only to make his AD build exceedingly attractive on him for his rework.

Could definitely stand to change, I think.

Why discuss this in one of the other 50 mord discussions when you can make your own discussion?

Oh wai..

why make a post about it when you can just comment on another discussion? oh wait, the main post is a lot more influential than a comment. Nobody who can do anything really has a lot of time to read through every comment, nor do they want to read through long comments as far as I know(i don't like to read through long comments really)

"Nobody who can do anything really has a lot of time to read through every comment"

I am assuming this means no one has time to read every comment. Now imagine the devs trying to read through 50 discussions about the same thing with 2-3 comments each. When instead they could go into one mega discussion about a topic where the community has sorted out all the good shit from the retarded shit (with the voting system.)

link me 5 other discussions saying what could be improved with the current changes(let alone 50). I can think of 1 other that I have seen.

This isn't a hate post, of which there ARE 50+ posts about, rather trying to accept the general direction of the rework

My one gripe atm is the Q duration is so short between strikes I can't take even run after a fleeing opponent for the second/third hit.
