What I think every time someone starts a surrender vote

All it takes is one mistake to turn a teamfight around for an ace and you can go back and win the game. EDIT: It doesn't matter how well I play personally if the other team is simply better. EDIT 2: Pretty much this

{quoted}

I don't surrender because I hate it when the other team does. Winning through a surrender isn't very satisfying compared to destroying the nexus. Even if it is a lost cause, give them the courtesy of a real win. And if you do happen to make a comeback, then it's a better game for everyone.

Why surrender when you can extend your teams suffering?Teemo

Gotta love the time vampires that just sit there spamming no on a surrender vote when you're down 30-6 at 20 minutes, especially in a normal game. Once you play a few thousand games you realize when they're won and lost.

Yeah! Screw that guy who isnt having fun anymore. Lets force him to play this loosing game or report him when he goes AFK from frustration!

Look, I'm not saying to always accept the surrender vote but be realistic with whats going on. Can you win if you're behind 5 kills and 2 towers? Yes, this aint over. Can you win when behind 20 kills and they're pushing on your inhibitors? Probably not, and your teammates hate you for extending the suffering.

Know that you are loathed by the majority of players you hold in thrall because of your abject refusal to recognize when it is time to stop. Let me flip the script on you: only losers keep fighting when the battle is lost. Reckless or intemperate, pick your nom de plume. THIS is why we all hate and call you tryhards, such childish naivete, "oh we can still win this guyzzz, we're only down 45-8 and no turrets left!!1!1!" Gnar

I always just say "surrendering is for losers"

If you could't get the game under control when it was 2-7, what makes you think you're gonna turn it around now that its 6-32?

This is actually the exact quote that pops into my head sometimes.

ChaosThief6/22/2015, 6:48:21 PM3 votes

If the nexus isn't exploding, you haven't lost yet.

STOP TRYING TO JUST GO PLAY ANOTHER GAME DAMN IT I DON'T CARE IF ZED IS 30/2/14 WE CAN KILL HIM

Z Statistic6/22/2015, 8:06:46 PM3 votes

No, that's just continuing on despite people being paranoid. A lost game is when you have just lost your inhibitor and haven't taken a single turret, and your ADC isn't going to be able to take turrets quickly.

The probability that you ace them then is low. And even if you do, you now have to back to kill the supers before winions destroy you. Which means sending back either your ADC or your APC to kill them. Since one of your carries is dead (because we're trying to suspend our disbelief, not assume a miracle as a given), along with one or two of your frontline, you have 2 or 3 people, one of which can kill towers quickly AND clear waves quickly while the other one or two can just waveclear. Hopefully.

So you send back the person who can waveclear but not siege. So you have 2 people on the tower. And you killed one! Yay! Oh wait, you need to kill two more before you can take the inhibitor. And you need to walk to them, which takes precious seconds not hitting a turret.

So realistically, you probably are going to be able to take one turret, and maybe start on the next one.

So yeah, the enemy needs to throw two or three times MAJORLY in order for you to at least be even in towers. That's not even counting gold differential.

I mean, if you're going to buy me a lotto ticket if I don't surrender, ok.

only in ranked though. in normals i just say fuck it :D

So what you are saying you are the type of person that has blind faith and counts on others to make mistakes instead of outplaying.

Snakezzy6/22/2015, 7:29:27 PM2 votes

Yes, all games are winnable. But would I want to keep playing a game that we are down 20 kills and 15k gold? No. Sure, maybe in a half hour we could somehow win but even if you do, is it still worth it?

Mistral6/22/2015, 11:30:40 PM1 votes

I totally think this too!

The Ellimiist6/22/2015, 5:54:47 PM1 votes

Yah I mean look at that actor who's name I can't even remember. He never gave up on his acting career and he starred in many notable shows and movies after home improvement, none of which I can remember at this time. :D

FHMarshy6/22/2015, 3:43:07 PM1 votes

In like 40 minutes long games? Maybe.

Honestly, if you guys managed to ACE them after they took down both your nexus turrets while having all 11 turrets up, i doubt you guys can make a come back
