Warding Items for All Classes

So, in Preseason, Rito said one of the changes that they wanted to make was for vision to be easier and more available. They did this fairly well actually........for supports and junglers who buy Sighstone.

The removal of green wards from the shop made it harder for the map to be theoretically covered with 15 wards per team, not counting pinks. Rito has basically made it impossible for solo laners to ward up the river or theie jungler's camps and also limited warding to basically anyone who wants to buy a Sighstone (supports, junglers like Nunu and Sejuani, Lee Sin), as pinks are now the only wards available to those who don't have one. Sure, pinks are cheaper now, but you can only have 1 per player and getting one late game (when they are arguably more important), means selling an item, which is a huge no-no. Since 5.22, I've found it harder to convince teammates to buy some wards, even EARLY game, because, y'know, wards save lives.

So, I propose something akin to what Riot did with supports- too long they told us, have supports been forced to 'waste' a slot on their Ruby when they could have another tank or active or utility AP item. So they came up with the cool Eye items, which I really like. Or the new jungler T2, which lets you put down wards instead of fun shit with Smite.

Why not do the same with AD carries, or assassins like Yasuo and Zed, or AD casters like Pantheon and Riven?

Why not do the same with tanks like Sion and Mundo, or big, beefy bruisers like Nasus or Gnar?

Why not do the same with AP assassins like Katarina and LeBlanc, or utility mages who don't like support, like Lulu and Orianna, or punishing burst and combo mages like Vel'Koz, Viktor, and Syndra?

How, you ask?

Say hello to my friend Doran.

Everyone's favorite weaponsmaker has been a little forgotten ever since the Institute was retconned. And his items are sing some very heavy competition with all the early game items changes, such as Cull or more carries opting for the early game power of an Amp Tome or Long Sword.

Why not give people more incentive to purchase Doran's fine works of craftsmanship? I propose having item 1055 item 1056 and item 1074 build into T2 items that can upgrade into (or fuse with Sighstone to create) a T3 item that gives the necessary stats for the champions that start that item while also giving an active of placing a Sight Ward.

Below are my ideas.

item 1055 now builds into Shining Rapier

** NEW Tier 2 Item: Shining Rapier**

  • 20 attack damage

UNIQUE Passive: Shimmer Basic attacks periodically deal 35-180 bonus true damage to their target, granting true sight of them for 4 seconds. Basic attacks refresh this sight. (20 second cooldown)

Shining Rapier builds into Harsh Judgement

NEW Tier 3 Item: Harsh Judgement

  • 60 attack damage

UNIQUE Passive: Shimmer Basic attacks periodically deal 35-180 true damage to their target, granting true sight of them for 4 seconds. Basic attacks refresh this sight. UNIQUE Passive: Warding Consumes a charge to place a item 2049 Stealth Ward that reveals the surrounding area surrounding area for 150 seconds. Holds up to 3 charges which refill upon visiting the shop. A player may only have 3 item 2049 Stealth Wards on the map at one time. Champion kills restore one charge. UNIQUE Passive: Judgement Upon placing a ward, you gain 30% attack speed for 3 seconds. (20 second cooldown.)

item 1076 now builds into *Wisdom's Pendant

NEW Tier 2 Item: Wisdom's Pendant

  • 40 ability power
  • 100% base mana regen

UNIQUE Passive: Killing a unit restores 8 mana. Killing an enemy champion will restore 30% of your maximum mana. UNIQUE Passive: Wisdom Killing a unit increases the base mana regeneration by 20% for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5 times.

Wisdom's Pendant builds into Skull of Forgotten Prophet

NEW Tier 3 Item: Skull of Forgotten Prophet

  • 70 ability power
  • 100% base mana regen
  • 10% cooldown reduction

UNIQUE Passive: Killing a unit restores 8 mana. Killing an enemy champion will restore 30% of your maximum mana instead. UNIQUE Passive: Prophecy of Death When brought below 25% health, 12% of your missing health is restored as mana instantly, and your cooldowns are reduced by 5 seconds.

item 1074 now builds into Hide of Serpent

NEW Tier 2 Item: Hide of Serpent

  • 270 health
  • 75% health regen

UNIQUE Passive: Serpent Gain 20 flat movement speed in brush or river. This item's health regen is doubled while this effect holds.

Hide of Serpent builds into Wyvern's Gaze

NEW Tier 3 Item: Wyvern's Gaze

  • 600 health
  • 100% health regen
  • 10% cooldown reduction

UNIQUE Passive: Serpent Gain 25 flat movement speed and +20% tenacity while in brush or river. This item's health regen is doubled while this effect holds. UNIQUE Passive: Snakeskin Basic attacks and single-target spells restore 1.5% of your maximum health and reflect that amount as magic damage to the attacker.

I tried to do the gold costs for the items and calculate their gold efficiency, but I couldn't do it, it eventually all went over my head. Sorry!

Feel free to leave comments below. Are the numerous passives too strong? Is one weaker than the other? Do you fear that supports will get these items instead of FOTM, FQC, and ToA?

I hope Riot sees this, not necessarily for my item ideas, but simply for my concerns of less warding options in a world that needs wards. Supports are the best class huehuehue

Thank you for reading!

Want an idea for warding? Warding Potion. Stores 2 charges of 100 hp restoration, and you can place a ward every 30 seconds, also, placing a ward could restore __% of missing health. Pros: Available to any laning role except jg (item 3711 item 2032 ) Gives good lane sustain - everyone would buy it. Gives a great amount of wards. Cons: NONE AT ALL

Bang, How would this not solve the warding problem. Like everyone is complaining about not enough warding options, The thing is everyone would like this item (I presume).

Except, as I said, that would take up an item slot lategame and not give any class the stats that they want. :/

they could just sell it if the game went on that long.
