Low ELO and the idea of "grouping"

So one thing I think everyone in mid to low ELO should have noticed by now is everyone's propensity to CONSTANTLY say "just group," "all we gotta do it group," "plz group now" NO MATTER WHAT THE STATE OF THE GAME IS OR WHAT BOTH TEAMS COMPS ARE!!!!

Like you could be losing and running a pick comp into a wombo comp and your idiot team will still say "let's just group!" Twat do you even know what grouping means or does!? Much less team comps and being able to read the map/state of the game!?

Then on the complete other hand these idiots I keep getting stuck with don't even seem to know how to group properly! Like seriously, we get a lead, I force my team down mid lane with pings, and we end up getting an inhib. GREAT, you did well my idiot children, next anyone with a freakin brain would know to either focus on dragons/baron and the vision control of which ever one you want to focus next, OR group and force down another lane that doesn't already have a downed inhib so the super minions can pour down that open lane.... BUT NOPE! They just continuously run down mid, over and over and over again, no matter how many times I ping or try to keep a side lane minion wave moving so these idiots have something to fall back on once they get into the enemy base and find out they have nothing to do there.... but again nope! They just keep getting caught out, making bad plays like engaging under the tower(s), or scattering all over the fucking place instead of coming to the lane I'm pushing and pinging to come to!

And ofc the ABSOLUTE BEST part of it all is that it's ALL MY FAULT! I wasn't there holding my dick with them in the enemy base without baron and the entire enemy team up and not THAT far behind us aside from having a downed inhib.... so in my attempt to force these morons to win since they obviously don't give a fuck I end up being the "liability" they constantly complain about in chat and just get blamed for literally everything... for example I got a triple kill last game when 3 low health enemies came to stop my lane pushing and I killed them all but died in the process to an ignite, then my duo bot lane and jungler WHO ARE IN THE ENEMY JUNGLE RIGHT NEXT TO ME decide they need their next items so ALL THREE recall and give me shit "for getting caught."

I can't win in this ELO with these kinds of idiots.... they're either just seriously too stupid to win or trying to not win on purpose......

I think grouping should be defined as team movement, so split pushing as the team plans is also a kinda of "grouping".

people who want to group against orianna/malphite/sivir make me sick

it's just... "yo can you guys just let me split push so we can force them to separate their wombo combo press r to gain lp team"

Exactly, or the enemy team has a mid laner like Viktor or Ziggs who can insta wave clear with two abilities every single time a wave pulls up, and your idiot team just wants to sit there in mid lane letting the enemy team get control of the other lanes as well as catching up with time.

So yeah sure grouping is essential and important, but there are just sooo many circumstances where you don't want to give the enemy team the advantage of having you guys group up into one lane for them, and yet people in gold and below just NEVER seem to get that....

You're right...sorry. I guess I just see so many complaint threads that don't really go anywhere and I start to get frustrated, mb. You're probably more likely to get more of a response in GD. (they're more of a community that's happy to talk about whatever)

You might be right, it's just the part I'm annoyed about is gameplay, so I thought this section would be the most appropriate. I'll keep your advice in mind for the future though.

Grouping is a necessary first step, though it's indeed only the beginning. There also needs to be some kind of strategy built more holistically around objectives and map control. This is just too complicated for people who think you win the game by running around on your own trying to get kills, engaging the enemy wherever they are weakest, and imagining that whatever's going on with the rest of the team is their problem because you're busy "carrying". But, if they group at all, at least that's evidence they're just beginning to develop beyond that "imma kill everyone and carry" stage of strategic infancy.

Communication is key... They communicate that they want to group, if you wan to do something else communicate it. and if they dont want to work with their plan, then suck it up and either group with them (team game) or ignore them and do what you want (solo game)

I explained in rather great detail that I was constantly communicating, and usually am without much success with these kinds of players.

You are 1 person, they are 4. If they want to group, you should group with them then, unless you have a stronger solo play that wins the game without your team.

The game is a team game, in a way its a democracy.

Anyway, in that game I used as an example, the ONLY poke we had was Galio, the enemy team had a decently fed Viktor, and the mid inhib was already down. Why on fucking earth would anyone want to just sit in the enemies base in mid lane doing absolutely nothing while the Viktor just wave cleared the minions before they even got close enough to activate both towers? If you ever do that, you WILL lose, they don't even need their full team to defend their nexus towers against that.....

There is no reality where that works....

Democracy is communication. 4:1 your idea loses even if it is the better play. If you ask them to do something and they dont do it, nothing you can do but make the best out of the situation you are dealt.

And just running into the enemy base and doing nothing while they catch up is quite possibly the worst decision someone could make while trying to make the best of their situation. Letting them all die while you get some more towers is even a better option then that, with the mid inhib down and your team just sitting there the ONLY way they'll ever find anything to do at all is if you can get the minions in another lane to another inhib tower and ping them over, otherwise they're stuck there doing NOTHING and will most likely die, and they'll die whether you're there to die with them or not. Also, that's the lamest "definition" of communication I've heard in a long time. It's like the American government in a nutshell, "we communicate the will of the people!" Then they fucking do w/e they want anyway lol

You are looking at it entirely the wrong way and ignoring my poled response. You only have 2 options, Follow the crowd or not. But you have to realize you cant 'force' people to follow you, and they cant force you to follow them. It is a choice. Right or wrong, it is better to follow the crowd for the sake of frustration. But if you know you can come out ahead with something risky then do it. But dont blame your team if you keep pushing and dont notice they back.

No I am not and I have addressed your specific "fix" multiple times now. Also I have NEVER not once ever said I was dying in a lane by myself while my team backed, cause as I have stated many times now they do not back they all die doing something they should not be doing.

You reading anything I'm posting or just repeating yourself in hopes you're actually right? Which you aren't, something you'd have realized if you bothered to read my comments.
