Nidalee Support
Is it actually viable for ranked Bronze-Silver?
It looks fun and I enjoy playing Nidalee.
Thanks in advance!

It's a pretty solid way to carry. Just build Nid like you normally would, let your ADC poke down enemy, then Leopard/Cougar chase through the jungle and kill. At least, that's what my Nid supps always do.
I assume AP nid?
As top I've been using AD and AP as mid
Oh God, it's coming back. Please don't let this happen again. I still have a headache from last time.
In all seriousness: it can kind of work. You'd have to be AP. Ideally, you'd use traps to control the bush, poke from the bush if you were safe to do so, and throw spears while diving on people if they get out of position. You don't really have any utility outside of the heal, so you're pretty heavily reliant on winning lane. It's weaker than it was before the rework, but it can still work. It's going to be hard unless you have a good idea of how to play aggro in duo lanes, so if you're not big on support in general, I'd be cautious, particularly if you want to play it in ranked.
Be careful about playing it in ranked. A lot of people have very bad memories attached to their teammates playing Nidalee support. It used to be the classic pick of the "I don't know how to play support and I don't want to play it, so I'll pick an AP carry and not really support" player. There were so many terrible support Nids. You're likely to trigger an unhappy memory from at least one person.
anything is viable in low elo lol, i played ad jungle bruiser fiddle and won a game
I could see this going south with the sustain of other healing supports like Sona or Soraka.
Although, i could see it working against others like Morg, Blitz, Leona. Anything without a heal.
I guess I will try it out in normal a few times before I give ranked a shot.
Thank you for the input!
Probably. I feel like you'd have a pretty rough time if you got pushed under turret, but I imagine you'd be pretty hard to deal with if you were pushed towards the enemy's turret. Also, her E alongside someone like Twitch sounds pretty deadly.
Yes, It's Viable, however. It will probably result in your adc getting all the farm and you getting all the kills if you're okay with that. The only downside to it is your lack of cc to help your adc and they can usually just focus him down if they have the damage while you sit there and can do nothing
Honestly since bot lane supports are just Mid lane mages with a Sightstone you can inherently do anything...
That is true, Nid has zero utility really. The heal she has is super lackluster.
It provides nothing to your team in terms of teamfighting like a Thresh, Leona, Nami, or Janna does. Highly discourage this unless your ADC is Ezreal or something and can take care of himself easily.
If you're seriously committed to it your best bet is probably to build a mejai's and try your best not to get killed ever.
Lol, I don't know. All I know is that I've seen two terrible Nidalee supports recently in normals that only stay in bushes and throw spears that they don't land. Both of them fed so hard and made for easy wins.
I play it here and there if I get tired of using people like Leona. I personally think it's viable, a lot of folks forget her traps actually reduce armor and mr. Her heal in line with ardent crestor is extremely useful late game as you can pretty much heal your entire team from half health in about 20 seconds if everyone holds back. The downside about it is that she can't be played unless your team already has someone to start a fight and a team that lets you spend some time poking before they engage heavily. She can deal enough damage to keep people off of farm, and jump in if they try to actually farm. I don't play her as "lemme take your kills and carry". It is hard to do only because of the stigma, everyone hates you in champion select or they don't care. If people hate you for it, they will just make it a bad game for you. So it depends on how much crap you want to take, and how good you are at spears and building her. She is VERY mana reliant early game, and the vast majority of other "healing" supports can out sustain her. Tank supports, good ones, make it very difficult for her. I think in higher elos she would probably be more viable, but in bronze/silver adcs want someone that can hold their target still with CC - and they almost always think that someone isn't a support unless they have a stun or other form of crowd control. Meaning that Brand, who is more likely to steal kills even if he doesn't intend to, is more accepted than a Nidalee.
