Is Ranked even competative ?

my friend friend can play a normalz draft, hell, I can solo que one, and get team mates who not only SEEM to be more competent ( whether that is because they are playing a familiar champ and not trying something new or a meta breaker ), but more importantly I get team mates who are straight better people and the game ends with both of us getting S rank and feeling like we helped our team carry itself. Ranked is different, in it when I am solo que or with my freind we get the saltiest, mots in experience, trolls you could ever think of, and i am asking myself how is this fair to me? Like I will admit that I am B5 and I will not make excuses, its cuz I sucked a little. I can not take all the credit for getting to where i am today though, even though I have never been pro I have always from before i played ranked worked well and been flexible with my teams. However, I have always noticed a difference in the people who play ranked compared to those who play normalz. My problem is that i literally am not sure what to do, I can get quadra's and push advantages and stuff in normalz, but in ranked its like the top, fed by an off-meta-top-lane pick rengar, lane decides to join in and she is 7/1 and craps on my ( TBH badly badly BADLY compositioned ) team. Bad as in how during a different game, where I was last pick and forced into adc, ( which I am fairly good at ) but in last pick I can not make our comp work because my role doesn't allow it, to be specific a (top v an ) and a (mid v a ) and a (jng v a ). Now I am not getting into a discussion of whether or not you could as the heimy, ziggs, and kindred ( in their position) beat the illao, brand, and malphite, what im saying is that that is a rough match up in a scenario where each person has to perform extremely well in order to win and when they all need help no one can move to assist them because i am bot 1v2 as against a ( due to a troll support who is just watching me and telling me to stop feeding or stealing my kills ). Basically what happens is top loses lane, mid is loosING and has gotten hit by the enemy jng a couple of times and bot is self explanatory. I do not think advice is necessarily what im looking for at this point, more or less thoughts on whether or not how riot determines your rank is fair, i guess.
