I'm looking to climb the silver ladder and I'm looking for a good mage. Good APC's like Ahri and Annie is picked/banned nearly every game. Brand recently caught my eye and despite the fact he's not often picked, I was wondering if he is any good. Thanks in advance!
He's quite obscure and I recently saw him pop up in the nerfplz 1st tier mid.

Craft Zeppelin1 votesIf you want to dunk the enemy with a supreme aoe nuke ability with a liandries, and burn them into a overdone toast. Then he is yours. If you're skilled you can even carry your...not so good ADC as a apc support as brand. Which might save the day for you. The current meta quite favours him since youre team will peel you like no tomorrow.
(As the person said below, Malz is another good pick if you want to shut down that pesky yasuo or katarina.)
RazorTS1 voteshe has trouble against Zed and LeBlanc, easy to lane against anyone else, he is very strong in small skirmishes and full team fights, just land your skillshots ;)
NoMonku1 votesHe is an okay champion. I mainly dislike him because his ultimate is so unreliable. His normal abilities are strong, though, so if you get good with him you can dump on a lot of people who don't know how to play against him. His main flaws are that there are other champions who can do/offer what he does either more reliably or do more then him. If you like him you can try him out.
Genuwhine1 voteswhy are you playing champions like ahri and brand when you clearly cant play them (you wouldnt need them to get out of that elo if you could land the skillshots) i agree with you playing annie i dont see her banned very often...otherwise pick kayle pantheon or lulu, yes for mid, point and click champs that get the job done that you cant do on skill shot champions, guarantee you take the time to learn to play these champs which wont take long you will get to gold easily. That is if you actually have any decent knowledge at the game. buttt those champs will help 100%

Annie is either banned/picked every game. I've also played my fair share of League and I can confirm I can land skillshots. Also, why would I play Panth mid when he's obviously better top/jg??
