Is it a bad idea to play ranked the first few weeks?

I wonder why the games seems to be so unbalanced atm? Is it just because ppl try harder the first few weeks? Is it better to wait a week or two just so that ppl get to their intended ranks so that games become more even? A friend also said many boost at the start of the season and that's one reason. Idk, a lot of games seems to be stomps either way. It feels like some games I would've won even if I fed hard and some games is impossible to win.

Then add the fact a new champion released. Then add the new season. Then add the MMR issue.

I was looking for what elo my team and enemy team was and it seems like it's pretty much the same as me (high silver) so it's probably not so much an mmr issue. Yes, Sylas was stomping one of my games tho, lol.

A new champion, that most people don't know how to use, was stomping your games and that isn't a skill gap issue.

Think about what you just said for a second.
