If I'm saying this to a support, they are probably dying. Lots. Either that or the stand behind me the entire time and never react when I'm getting jumped on despite being at max range I can be to still receive CS. Some supports are just that bad. I don't care if you're a Sona or a Leona, poke/harass need to be positioned to do just that. Tank supports need to be in position to make a pick. There's no support that benefits from standing far behind their ADC in lane.

And yes, I get it. I shouldn't depend on the other person to do anything and I should treat the situation as if they're not there. But at that point? Give me the solo EXP so I can outscale the enemy by level.

There's no support that benefits from standing far behind their ADC in lane.

Not entirely true as Soraka is much better at healing the ADC rather than herself which means that she is much more vulnerable to getting killed in an all out fight

Though of course early on Soraka should be aggressive most of the time as her level 1 is decently good with her Q having decent base damage, short cooldown and healing Soraka when hitting enemy champions

But since Soraka max W first her Q harass becomes weaker and weaker after level 1 and thus becomes less and less worth the risk

Soraka should still be going in and out of range for abilities as need be, not always behind her carry.
