Can any of you lads give me the rundown on Vladmir?

How do you play him? What are his strengths? What are his weaknesses?

His strengths are his high snowball potential, he's excellent in teamfights, good scaling, and he is relatively safe. His main weaknesses are that he is immobile and that with many matchups he either gets outranged or just outscaled in general. -Start Q then max in this order: QEW -Use your Q twice to gain an empowered version of it. You can use the yellow indicator under your health bar as to see when your empowered Q will come up. -Use your ult in teamfights and try to catch them in it when they are grouped, since your ult increases all dmg dealt. -Save your w, since it is your only real escape and is excellent for avoiding basically everything (for example, can cancel karthus ult, cait ult, and a lot of other shit). Oh and it has a slow too. -Once you begin charging your e, you can w without canceling it, allowing you to pool right in underneath the middle of a teamfight in order to hit everyone with it (although it may not be the best choice in many situations since you are then left with no escape). -Your e keeps charging even while you flash, so you can try surprising people. -You'll greatly benefit from cdr. -There's been some debate on what runes to take on him. I personally take aery because I enjoy trading with it more frequently than comet, but a ton of people run unsealed spellbook and phase rush. I've seen a few take electrocute or predator, but I personally prefer the other options.

Start with Q, level 2 get W, then level 3 Q, and get E at 4.

You want to use Q off cd on your oppponent and making sure to use your empowered Q on an enemy champion especially.

Save W for big damage and cc.

Stay the fuck away from whoever you're laning against, and use your Q if they come within a 20 foot radius. You'll figure the rest out.

Strengths: second to none lane sustain with self heal and no mana. Late game team damage can be amazing. Fairly tanky for a mage.

Weaknesses: He’s slow to ramp up. Mediocre damage early and mid game. Many games end before you reach vlad’s time to shine. Not the best waveclear initially and because of that, you’ll have to stay in lane longer before you can push the lane far enough to safely back.

My build of choice: item 3158 item 3116 item 3065 item 3151 item 3089 item 3135

Play style: I usually play a passive style in lane just because he just doesn’t pump out a lot of damage early on. Poke with your Q when you can and watch out for ganks. Your goal at this point is simply to deny the enemy your tower.

Once you’ve got 5 out of 6 slots, you’ll start hurting a lot and the opponents should start respecting you. At this point, you should be able to delete a squishy on the other side and do major damage to the rest of the team with your Ult and E. Your teams should easily pick out the rest of the team. That’s basically it with vlad
