For real though. No one cares about him being "looked at for a rework" when it probably wont hit till 2018..
Give him something in the meantime to be relevant.. holy hell he falls so flat compared to every single other AA based melee champ

something along the lines of 3-5 seconds after his passive is proced, aatrox gains -50% damage reduction from all sources ( just for the sake of making his passive not suck )
Or give him some rework on his ult to make it more along the lines of how sions old ult worked where he heals allies for something like 5-10% of his own self healing in an AOE around him ( keep the numbers low so they have an effect but arent op ) to make him somewhat relevant to a team
Or make this initial VERTICAL movement of his Q act like Fizz's E where he becomes untargetable and all objects like tower shots flying at him dont hit ( this sounds OP on paper but its really not ) this would allow CC to have a small window to shut his dark flight down between the verticle movement and the actual landing ( the lateral movement )
Any 1 of these minor changes would bring him to a more competative level without making him broken or OP
Anyone freaking about the 3-5 seconds of damage reduction are missing the point that his passive rarely is effective due to zero mobility. If he dies, its just a waiting game till he actually dies 95% of the time

there is literally only ONE aatrox main player over diamond in ALL of the league of legends territories including NA, EUA, ETC... hes far from a monster, he can be 1v1ed by any other melee champ, he cant hyper carry.
I would love a link of your friends match history backing up your statement about him doing this, since he is your friend this should be a rather simple task

if you think he is viable even in gold, you are mistaken.
This game has always been balanced around the top 5%. always, so your assesement of mine is rather flawed.
Even in silver he has little effect. there are easily 5 champs who can do exactly what aatrox does but much better, much more effective, with much less effort

In your top 5 aatrox games i looked at, the enemy team has a feeding bottom lane in which you had no participation in those kills pre 15 minutes, so the game wasnt even decided by your gameplay.
How are you remotely credible again?
