Easy solution for Cait Traps

Ultra Rapid Fyre··21 votes·1,447 views

Make them unable to be placed within 250 units of an ACTIVE enemy tower aka not destroyed

Make traps unable to be placed within 150 units of an enemy champion

Traps are meant to catch people off guard, not provide free passive procs.

Its fucking stupid

Edit: for those who dont know, 150 units is about the additional distance aatrox gets on his autos after he ults, aka a very small amount but noticable enough to be impactful but not cripple a critical part of a champions kit. This is about balance, not about nerfs

they can literally be placed under you, and in a towers blind spot where the tower can actually conceal the trap from your view... they shouldnt be able to be placed right ontop of a champion or be covering all around a tower, which is why these were suggested. but thank you for your bump

If they're placed under you, move. They have a 1.1 second arm time. If you're CCd, chances are it was a skillshot CC and you should be punished. Otherwise, youre SOL.

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot, the boards doesn't want to hear facts that goes against their "THIS IS OP" Bs circle jerk.

yet im down voted for saying not step on them

yet you get upvoted for saying the same thing lol

upvotes and downvotes are only used by kids who think upvotes and downvotes matter. No one really cares about votes except children lol

lol its just funny... they are all like ILL PROVE YOU ARE DUMB downvoted

lol

i think its funny when i get like 25+ downvotes i think i have a comment a while ago that got like 85 or so downvotes

doiminat0r36001 votes

I just said to move away from them. I said to move if they're placed under you because you have a full 1.1 seconds to do that.

I never said not to step on them. I said to move if they're under you.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votes

not step. move away , walk around its all the same

doiminat0r36001 votes

You're complaining that you got downvoted for saying "don't step on them" which implies that they were already armed.

You're also complaining that I said the same thing, which I didn't.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votes

ok you said move and dont step on them lol

doiminat0r36001 votes

I said move if they're under you. Because they have an arm time.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votes

which means you dont proc them which means you arent stepping on them

The issue is early lane cheese by chaining CC with an ability not meant to CC chain.

It can be argued that riot designed traps to AVOID cc chaining.

doiminat0r36001 votes

If you get CC chained by an ability that takes a full second to arm, then you shouldn't complain because you had a bigger issue to be hit by that first CC.

Spaceman5pff2 votes

Alistar Bard Morgana Nami can easily CC you for long enough to cheese trap.

There are other, less reliable cheeses out there, as well.

The balance issue is not being snared / stunned by the first champion. The balance issue is not Chain CC. If the balance issue was chain CC, then I would be complaining about Jhin. I am not complaining about Jhin though, because his DESIGN is to chain CC or set up his own picks with W. His W does NOT serve as an anti-engage tool to almost totally block a lane. His W does not protect his flanks without his active attention. It is actively used CC and that is it.

Caitlyn gets flank safety, anti-engage, AND Chain CC out of one spell, meanwhile having higher DPS capability than any other ADC that provides hard crowd control.

OK fine, except that she ALSO does it from the highest range with an escape to boot.

She doesn't get all of these at once. She doesn't have enough traps for it. She can protect her flanks or use it to block a lane for anti engage or save them for chain CC.

That's a difference. If she is blocking your tower with the traps, she is vulnerable to get flanked and killed by your jungler.

Every zoning tool can be used for the exact same tasks. That's why they are zoning tools. They forbid you to be at a specific area as long as you don't want to get punished by it.

If you get hit by a Morg snare, nami Q, or bard Q/ult, you deserved it, as they're all incredibly easy to dodge having a small hitbox and slow projectile speed.

they can literally be placed under you

If you're CC'd. And are we saying synergy shouldn't happen in League?

and in a towers blind spot where the tower can actually conceal the trap from your view

They sure can. But go show me footage from your game where you stepped on a trap behind the tower (who da fuq steps right on the tower anyway) and then where the Cait was good enough to hit you without attacking the tower.

I'm guessing it's never happened to you, just like 98% of the people bitching about it.

Elohaven1 votes

They should go invisible like Jhin's and be unable to be placed under turrets.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votes

they aren't under the turret...

they are around the turret there is a difference

Silverjust1 votes

what do you mean?

Shuyin1781 votes

How do you function? Under tower is anywhere within its targeting range, it always has and always will be. Directly next to a tower is still "under tower", so Elohaven is still not wrong.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votes

i function that you can place them near the turret... under turret range but not physically under the turret

Shuyin1781 votes

How new are you to this game? =-= Anything within tower range ever since the game's release has been considered "under tower", just like "crowd control" is still called "crowd control" even if it's a single target spell (which a single person is not a crowd).

just installed 25 mins ago

What people are upset about is that you can hide them VISUALLY under the tower, which is actually above the tower in the lane.

The result is you have no idea there is a trap there since you con't see it, them BOOM headshot.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo2 votes

its more like anything in the game they have to work around and cant flat out ignore they cry and get upset call it unfair, unbalanced or toxic to the game

cait is strongest in lane and after 30+ mins in game between min 10 -30 she dips hard ... she is a lane bully who is good at siege

mid game there is no lane and the game opens up negating the effectiveness of her traps where she can only use them while taking objectives or trying to protect her base

reaperteaser1 votes

y nit give them the nidalee treatment?

Silverjust1 votes

i think this is a really good idea she needs something like this

Lock On1 votes

How about forcing the traps to have a minimum distance away from each other, so you can't just gate off a bush or any chance of sieging towers unless they have Ziggs .

h5LYF41Lam1 votes

the only viable option for riot is to decrease the range at which she can cast them and make it scale.everything else i have read on the boards is pure autism
