True damage is damage that is not reduced by anything (e.g. armour/magic resistance/%dmg reduction), and can only be prevented by forms of invulnerability.

Contrast with physical damage, magic damage, and the somewhat less known pure damage (which fountain tower uses, and isn't prevented by invulnerability).

Damage that ignores armor and magic resist. Unmigitable damage.

you should feel embarrassed for spelling embarrassed wrong it's damage that ignores resist, it's flat out going to do as much damage as it says it will do. Kayle Taric ults will still stop the damage and if say MasterYi uses his e Jax dodge or Teemo blind can still stop the auto

Physical damage is negated by Armor, and influenced by physical damage modifiers (Lethality/armor penetration)

Magical damage is negated by Magic Resist and is influenced by magical damage modifiers (Magic penetration)

True damage is neither, and ignores all armor/magic resist, and is not buffed by either lethality nor magic penetration.

"450 True Damage" means they're going to take 450 damage no matter what, as long as it hits. It also ignores flat % reduction effects like Annie's E (-xx% damage taken for Annie and Tibbers)

If you want an easy example of this, the Turrets that guard Fountain in each base do 1000 true damage per damage tick. That's why if you're ever behind enemy Inhibitor and go too close you die instantly (more or less). [Edit] Apparently towers are "pure damage" even though it shows True damage in death indicators but whatever.

True damage means that it will always, no matter what, deal the amount of damage assigned.

For example, if ability X deals 400 true damage it will always do exactly 400 damage even if the target was to have insane armor, mr, etc.

Physical damage is reduced by ARMOR, and magical damage by MR. True damage doesn't have a mitigation.

It's been quite a while since I played these champions but I think Cho'Gath, Olaf, Rek'Sai, Vayne and some others have true damage abilities.

True damage in this game doesn't go through 'invulnerable' mechanics and it doesn't bypass shields.

That's all I can think of for now, I hope it helped! :d
