Upcoming "Remake" Function
So apparently Rito's going to start testing soon on a "remake" function, which will basically allow teams who have a AFK/DC to drop their present game without penalty and "remake" by adding a fifth to the team and re-queuing. The stipulations as they state?
- AFK/DC is only noted by being unresponsive for at least 90 seconds within the first three minutes of a game.
- No First Blood happens in that three minutes (executions to monsters don't count, has to be a player kill).
Even before it hits testing I can see the abuse here. Being in Bronze, players get super salty even at champion select. Runs the gambit of someone not getting their role, taking a completely out-of-meta pick which has a much greater chance to fail due to lack of understanding all the mechanics even to intentional banning of a teammate's pick (seen it happen). I can completely see such a player immediately run to an area where the jungler and leashing teammates will be or even too late and let the enemy team kill him/her well before the three minute mark.
And the usual counter-argument is "Well they'll get punished/banned". Pretty sure we all know how well this has worked so far. For a F2P game you aren't really stuck to a single account. Heck I'd wager the average player has at least 2 - 3 alt accounts (or more), and you can easily troll/abuse on one of those without fear of losing skins you acquired on your "main" account.
Just pointing out how abuse can happen within such a system. May want to work on some contingencies going forward in that testing.
