Riot`s logic behind Riven
Give the full dps assasin a 1k hp free shield in kit,so while she is killing u,she can absorb all ur damage or ur team dps simultaneously.

A 1k shield used on someone with little to no resistances doesn't do a whole lot. These points of yours sound nice, but in practice they only hold up if Riven goes against people who are inexperienced at facing her or if they blow all of their resources on someone else before Riven goes in. it's the same thing with Master Yi.
at level 18 she would need 641 bonus ad plus have her ult active for her shield to give her that much, it also only lasts for 1.5 seconds, which is an impressively short amount of time for an entire team to unload all of its damage.

to be fair rivens shield has about a 3 second cd when its lvl 5 and she has even the smallest amount of cdr.
