I don't like being forced to support in ranked

"Don't play ranked if you cant play all roles" seems to be the general thesis of argument for pro-autofill players. However. The only reason I play ranked is for the love of climbing ELO and getting better. Sometimes, you just cant play certain roles/champions at the same level/mastery you can play others. I don't like being forced in a position where I will play at a silver level in plat elo. I really don't understand what is trying to be accomplished here. Majority of the community have already agreed that they all do not mind waiting 5 more minutes if they could get the 2 positions they queued for.

well there is a big part of the community that thinks support is easy and it takes no skill and any one can do it... so if you are plat at MID for example why cant you just be plat at support?

Every 5th game, regardless of what has been played recently, every player should be forced to support. Which is about the percentage of games it worked out to in the past in season's 1 and 2 where we had pick order and much superior lobby methods that were also more fair and more competitive.

As always the best players will ignore any "order" imposed on them as a group and simply put every player in the best position to succeed democratically and intelligently.

Some players these days are entirely too spoiled.

You should learn the game at its core level like you were forced to in the past.

It's better for you as a player.

It's better for the community overall.

Technically, there is at worst a 1/5 chance that you get support every game. Obviously, it's probably higher when you autofill, but your other games make up for it.

find yourself 1 or 2 champs you can play on decent level in every role, some safe pick that is easy to play. Tell your team you are not support/adc/top main and just try to farm etc.

Autofill is necessary because nobody wants to play support and with autofill my que is 3 minutes not 8 , you still get it rarely so you should not complain , remember the days of pick order when you actually played your role less than now ? You also get rewarded with autofill protection so you are guaranteed your role next game so stop bitching about it and find some easy champs to play in those roles , if you have only 1 champ for adc you will most likely be good with it after few games

Just leave Support to me and the other Support Mains lol. Because it is not easy, we understand. :-)
