What the hell do you want from me RIOT?!

I have almost had it...i really have. I was almost done with this game after i was bronze 4 after spending 3 weeks strait (my Christmas vacation) getting to silver 4. But some very, what i thought were helpful posts, about how "If you really were silver 4, youll get there again," and the "youll be silver 4 again in no time, just play carries" convinced me to keep trying...IT'S BULLSHIT! Getting out of bronze is nothing but luck of the draw! No skill is required, you just have to hope your team has fewer trolls and unskilled players than the other! I was finally playing games where we would group, take objectives, engage in team fights together, actually have a laning phase! and now its like all the work i put in during my free time is worth FUCKING NOTHING because im right back where i started 6 weeks ago! Someone tell me what to do! because apparently the 100ish hours of cs practice, and the uncountable number of hours watching pros play so i can learn strategy from them, and the 100's of hours just playing normals isn't enough to get gold, let alone silver! The output reward) is not equaling the input (ALL MY FREE TIME) and i honestly dont know what to fucking do. im not going to keep doing this "win one lose one" bullshit i had to go thought the first time to get out of bronze.

I should point out, the reason i played so much over the break was because im taking 19 HOURS of classes this semester and i knew i wouldnt have enough time to grind to silver then so i did it over the break....but SURPRISE SURPRISE, GUESS THAT PLAN DIDNT FUCKING WORK!

So here's the thing. Even if you blame games on being the luck of the draw, at best, you're going to be forced into a 50/50 coin flip to win or lose. Stagnate, obviously, but you're there. But I guess that would also means you're just average for your rank if you stagnate?

Let's say every player's skill is based from 1-5. You're above average (a Silver in Bronze) so let's say you're a definite 4. Every other player you are matched up with and against are randomly distributed among values of 1-5. On average, and this is the important thing, on average you can expect the enemy team to be at a combined value of 15. Yours normally would be 15 as well, except we're treating you as a guaranteed 4, so now your team has a value of 16. In other words, even if the skill level of everybody else is random, if you're better than everyone, your team will have a higher chance of winning. Even if you can convince me with factual evidence and not anecdotes that League's Ranked system at lower levels is based on random chance, your team will always have the net advantage if you are an above average player for your rank. The only reason you would stagnate at this point is that you aren't as good as you think you are. You may just be a solid 3 every game you play, maybe you're sometimes a 4 but other times you drop all the way down to 2. Point is, on average, the only reason why you are stuck is because you can't perform consistently enough.

Also stop acting so damn entitled. Spending all of your free time on this game both doesn't compare to actual professionals, or at least Plat+ people, nor does it necessarily guarantee you are a better player.

The rank reset made all of us lose our time climbing the ranks, but it was specifically stated when it would happen. They said the reset would happen around the start of preseason, around 6.1. I'm sorry, but at least you managed to get to silver. Kudos!

The thing is... if you have unskilled / trolls / afkers on your team, it's just as likely that the enemy will get them on their team as well. Based on that, if you're as skilled as you think you are and think you belong in a higher division than you're currently in, you should be able to carry easily.

Sometimes it's better in lower elo to play characters that are stronger at splitpushing and 1v2ing. Riven, Tryndamere and Renekton all spring to mind. You can easily win lane with someone like Renekton and then proceed to put their top and jungler further behind if they try to fight you.
