Yasuo Mains and Haters, Hear Me Out - Part 2

TonyTonyMordecai··3 votes·619 views

After hearing what you guys said in my first post about possible Yasuo nerfs to put him more into control, it came to a consensus that his mobility was the only problem, nothing more, nothing less.

So here's what I came up with: (it's not perfect or even close to good, but it's a start)

Yasuo has charges on his dash that refill faster based on his amount of flow

I know I'm gonna get hate mail from a lot of people, but hey, I tried! I like Yasuo too, but something has to be done to make it more enjoyable to play againist him no matter who you're playing.

Cheers! . . . . . Here's the link to my first post so you guys can see the responses: First Post

So basically, after you pop his shield he has less mobility than Garen. I don't think you understand that everyone complaining about Yasuo are Silver and Bronze scrubs that would rather have him nerfed than actually adapt to the game and figure out how to beat him even though he is already easily beatable in lane. They're just retarded and like to blow all of their skillshots after he uses windwall and when he has his shield up. CC Yasuo? Nah he's immune to that remember? Burst him? Nope shield and windwall make him literally invincible remember? Reposition around windwall and not blow everything on it? Sorry when he uses windwall you are FORCED to use everything on it right?

it's more that you have to pop his shield, wait for that, then wait out his windwall. Or he can windwall first, then you can't even pop his shield with aa's, so you wait for the wall. then you can pop his shield...

then he can just back off, run around in circles, and then you have to pop and wait for his shield again, by which time his windwall will be ready again.

the windows for engagement are minimal. obviously he's susceptible to ganks, but who isn't? and this is solo queue were talking about here. cannot rely on your jungler for anything. Also, he not easier than average to gank or anything what with windwall. and if you do get a great angle on him...welp he can dash through your jungler to safety

I see what you guys are saying, and I don't disagree. I guess I should've said that his dash could run on an ammo system, where he would have like 3/4/5 max dashes in reserve, and the dashes would come back faster based on how much flow he had (sort of like a CDR relationship). I was just thinking of ways that Yasuo could be changed to make it more fair for some character match-ups (especially if you're in blind pick, then you have no clue who you're going up against).

I'm sorry you have to actually interact with Yasuo instead of pushing him out of lane with 1k range spells.

To be fair, some of them are high elo support mains.

Anyway, why does something have to be done to "make him more enjoyable to play against"?

Why should Yasuo players give a flying fuck about how much fun his laning opponent is having? Do mage mains think it's fun to be poked from one side of the lane to the other by Lux with little hope of interaction or retaliation from most melee or even short-ranged champions?

Mage players hate Yasuo because he forces them to interact with him.

Yasuo is annoying, but not overpowered....

Yet.

Mastery -> Warlord's Bloodlust: Critical strikes heal for 15% of the damage dealt and grant you 20% attack speed for 4 seconds (2 second cooldown).

Prepare Uranus.

Can't wait to see the Mages ones.

The idea itself isn't bad at all but Yasuo would get a sort of double conditions to use a tool which already puts him at risk everytime.

Yeah, good point. I just keep thinking back to people saying things about Yasuo being annoying and "broken" with his Stattik Shiv power spike, and the more recent Trinity Yasuo thing. Again, I don't hate Yasuo at all. I just hate hearing people complain about him when he is so cool and so fun to play.

  • You can never please every1.
  • Ppl who whine rarely have a notion of what balance is and even more rarely recognise their faults (I get told to play easy/OP champs when I win a lane as Xerath vs Fizz).
  • Yasuo is the hate target because in good hands he is a really strong character, whining about mechanics is just a scapegoat because all of them are already balanced and toned down where needed.
  • You can't nerf (nor buff) a fun and balanced character because the community is a bunch of whining kids and don't like to have engaging fights.

True true. I tried, and it was a good attempt! At least we had an intelligent conversation about this as opposed to the usual "mah main" circlejerk conversations we see on the boards...

Fortunally for us there are ppl like this xD

I usually don't get hostile when I see a far attempt to change something seen as problematic. But when I meet blind ignorance and unwillness of learning that pisses me off... and a lot.

Why is it every person on the boards think high mobility champs are op? Yasuo is far from op...

TonyTonyMordecai1 votes

I didn't say that Yasuo is "op" because of his mobility, I just said that other people said that his mobility is the only problem with him.
