Rengar needs a nerf somewhere
Being able to 2v1 bot lane and win by himself is a bit broken. His durability combined with his overloaded passive gives him a ton of free damage and mobility that is frankly out of hand. To me, a good Assassin is a champion that attacks at the right moment, not before or after. The champion effectively "threads the needle of opportunity" to get in, score a kill, and get out with inches to spare. A perfect example of this would be
: he does just enough damage for a kill but not monstrous amounts, he attacks at the right moment to score a kill then Rift-walks away. I know people feel Kassadin is a bad Assassin that was gutted, but for the most part he is adequate as an assassin and has the nesccery tools to do his job.
Arguably it is Assassins like
and others that are way overtuned but because of Riot playing "favorites" they're allowed to stay way overtuned. The issue with them is that have too much persistent damage or their mobility is too frequent or constant which makes them very hard to keep off your carrys.
Back to Rengar, my main issues are the cooldown on his Q and his passive "jump" effect. He has like three passives in his main passive but my main issue is that his jump works even if the enemy can physically see him without sight wards in the bush and he can still jump, or if you use something like a sweeping lens or Control Ward he can also still jump even though those both are something he can see too.
**Either nerf his "jump" passive** so if the enemy can see him physically (no sight wards) or with or , he can't jump at all; this would introduce counterplay for the enemy but still allow Rengar to play around such mechanics.
**Or Nerf his Q to have a 12 second cooldown** (from 4 seconds) but have it refund 66% of the cooldown (6 seconds approximately) if he strikes a neutral minion, this way he cannot immediately Assassinate again after downing one target, he has to wait for cooldowns and strike at the **"right"** moment. The cd refund would enable him to still jungle effectively.
