This is a serious question.
I'm in low Gold, and I am sucking absolute dick. I just want to know, what are champions like Riven, that have more impact on the game? I just can't carry my games as Riven, it sucks.

Maybe the reason you can't advance is because you're playing champions like riven
You can carry on any champ as long as you just play decently. Carrying doesnt always have to be most damage ect. Like look at my hec games all I do is gank people since they are overextended 24/7. Probably doing bad now since riven is a hard champion and you probably cant keep up with everyone. Just play shit like malphite easy champs to help you learn to farm where you should be and what you should do without having to deal with mechanics. Work on basics and mental game and come back to harder champions because a gold malphite will carry harder than a gold riven every time.
You're going to need to elaborate on what you mean by "Like Riven".
Do you mean: -a toplaner? -a hyper mobile champion? -a manaless champion? -a snowballing champ/lane bully?
Most champions like Riven will have similar problems or shortcomings to Riven.
The reason why you can't carry as Riven is because she usually attracts a camp and, when behind, she's useless. If you want to play top lane and have a strong impact really no matter what, my suggestion is to play a tank. Malphite is good because his engage is obvious, so as long as you don't ult at a bad time, you're almost guaranteed to win teamfights, even if you're behind. As for wanting to play champs like Riven, Quinn is a fairly safe carry top laner. If you fall behind, you can use your ultimate to roam and catch yourself back up with ganks. If your allies fall behind, you can do the same thing. However, all carry top laners share a similar problem: they are lane bullies, and as such, attract camps. Because of this, you have to ward and you have to pay attention to your minimap. Something that I'm gonna try soon that some high ELO players have recommended is going to a metronome website and setting it up to go off once every 3 seconds or so. (In case you don't know what a metronome is, it's a device used by musicians to keep track of time. You set it to go off once in X amount of time and it'll make a sound every time it goes off.) Then, learn to, every time you hear the metronome go off, look at your minimap. This will, in theory, help you get into the habit of looking at your minimap every 3 or so seconds, which will, if you're warding like you should, tell you if the enemy jungler is coming up to gank you and tell you to get out. If your whole team is warding well, you might even be able to see the enemy jungler in their jungle and see if he's near your lane and not go as aggressive. Quinn is also safer because, if you think the enemy jungler might be coming to gank you, you can use her W to check without needing a ward. You can also use W before you ward your lane to make sure a wild jungler won't appear and kill you. Finally, the deeper the ward, the better. The other thing is Riven requires a lot of animation canceling. If you can cancel her basic attack animation with proper timing with her Q, you can get off a lot of extra damage that you otherwise wouldn't without taking too much extra time. I don't play Riven myself because I know this and I haven't learned animation canceling with her yet, but if I did and I took the time to learn her, I could probably play pretty well. You can also animation cancel with tiamat/hydra active and it'll also reset your autoattack timer. TLDR: ward, metronome to look at minimap, animation cancel, Quinn is similar and easier.
im diamond right now and there are rivens running rampant, shes currently one of the best top lane picks in my opinion. She was really bad like 3 patches ago but suddenly there has be a resurgence of rivens, due to the bc buff and nerfs to everything else.
You just need to up your game, combo correctly and find your way onto that backline. Riven isn't easy, but you can carry games with her no problem ;)
here is the thing. melee carries don't really work consistently. they work sometimes. but most of the times. they don't so there are no champions like riven that you can carry harder with honestly they all suffer from the same problem of being melee getting blown up in team fights
