Why is it so hard to get 5 people in a group who actually want to win a game?

What the hell is going on with people today? My God I've never seen so many bad players in ranked. They literally just get caught out and feed over, and over, and over, and over. Had the game won, 4 players down on enemy team pushing nexus turrets and our poppy goes and farms top. We only get one turret and another to 25% and then the enemy team gets 3 barons in a row because not one person on the team warded at all. I just don't get it. How do I always get put on the team that just does not fucking want to win? It's driving me crazy, just a baddie trying to get to Gold for a fucking week straight and everytime I get in promos I get 3-4 teams in a row like this.
