How would you update Udyr to make him work in the current League?

Udyr is cool but reeks of old design. I actually like the way he is but I feel like his design space could deliver more dramatic and choice based game play. Below is a mini rework focused on creating Stance Combos. In all honesty though I expect no big changes for Udyr because he's fine where he is and reworking him would take a lot of visual design work. It's fun to theory about though!

All his stances stay mostly the same but get bonuses when used after one another: >Tiger Stance: •Rengar Leap on activation. Damage Dealt in Bleed. •Consume Phoenix Stacks to Deal bonus Damage

>Turtle Stance: •Consume Phoenix Stacks to boost shield •Attacking a Bear Stunned target knocks back slightly

>Bear Stance: •Attacking a target while shielded deals bonus damage equal to the shield amount. •Ignite Tiger Bleed to deal bonus magic damage on hit

>Phoenix Stance: •Each Champ his with the flames grants Stacks that boost AR/MR Bonus is boosted at low HP. •Bear Stunned Targets give full stacks.

I would remake his R, into an ultimate ability. Since lore wise Udyr is shaman that merges with spirits to assist him in battle, it would thematically make sense that phoenix is the strongest spirit at his disposal. Udyr's current weakness is getting kited right? The new phoenix stance as an ultimate ability, could temporarily literally transform him into a phoenix ,making him super fast mobile attacker with new set of abilities( think old Quin R, before her rework). Just think it would really fit him thematically, and make him so much more fun to play as.

Edit: I also like your idea though, to make his stances have an additional effect based on what stance was used last. That would really make Udyr dance on the battlefield with his spirits, and raise his skillcap a little, making him think in what order he should chain his skills, depending on situation, sounds cool to me.
