Ive played diana so much time and i never seen the attack speed buff that the passive said to give is is it typo or am i not getting it someone please explains this
I believe it's just a flat passive that applies throughout the whole game, so you wouldn't really notice it because there's no time when it's not active; you don't really have to do anything to get it.
I believe there's some other champs like this: Kog'Maw gets a passive bonus attack speed from his Q that you don't need to activate, Zed gets bonus AD from one of his skills, and I think Jarvan gets armor from leveling one of his skills (Though that might change next patch).
In short, it allows her to have higher than average attack speed throughout the game without making attack speed items crazy on her.
Math:
Number of Attacks per Second = BaseAttackSpeed * (1+AttackSpeed) This means her attack speed at level 1 is: 0.625 * (1 + 0.2) 0.625 * (1.2) = 0.75 Attacks per Second.
AttackSpeed includes attack speed from all sources, including but not limited to levels, buffs, items, runes and masteries.
It's a 20% attack speed boost, and applies the entire game. The reason it's not simply rolled into her base Attack Speed stat is so that buying Attack Speed items isn't ridiculously overpowered on her.
