HELP! are they any varus adc mains out there or highelo player, to explain to me why varus weak now

okay so been playing varus has adc since s5 and got mastery seven with him recently he most fun champ in the game to me enjoyed him a lot and the role i enjoy at his adc but problem. I've encountered he so weak in bot lane great in team fights but weak early, players are telling me he a troll pick has adc which he wasn't last year so anybody who at least have understanding of what happen to varus has adc or in general help me i need know any tips or i shouldn't play him has adc thank you in advance

hes not that bad atm tbh there are just so many gap closers that you have to play better. he is a better midlaner imo but hes still fine

he just isnt a good pick in the meta vs the other adcs that are there. he has a weaker /slow early game and needs to items and lvls in his w to really do high burst

He's not exactly weak but he isn't as good for auto attacking crit builds. How you want to build him is to orient more towards facilitating his poke.

cause he fun has adc probably cause that only lane i play him but if you have any advice to make his adc lane phase easier it be appreciated

Don't just basically go mid.

You should practice playing him in that role because it is different from bot lane.

If you pick him bot lane you need to be a better player, or you shouldn't pick him at all. Bot lane meta is pretty unforgiving right now. You can play him bot, but just know you have less room for error than others ADCs at the moment. That is what they're talking about.

It is important to pay attention to the meta, but if you play a champion for a long time, and they aren't Aatrox level crappy, you can easily get away with playing them and keep your win rate up.

Varus ADC main here.

Honestly, it's all about how you play him.

ADC Varus is played completely different to Mid Varus.

There's kind of a lot more options in regards to item diversity. You play around a mix of damage, crit and lifesteal.

With ADC Varus you're looking to get fed, and fast. You need to be aggressive. Starting W first is usually my go to for ADC Varus, as I do extra damage to minions, which lets me farm waves faster thanks to my passive. As soon as I get level 2 I can follow up with a Q and chunk half of my enemy ADC's hp.

You need a strong frontline though. Tanky champs like Thresh, Blitz & Alistar are champs you should be looking for to support you as ADC Varus. They can help you wonders when you're setting up for an execute shot from your Q if you're out of auto-attack range.
