Wukong's design makes for an exhausting experience in lower elos

It might be just a git gud issue since I am nowhere near being decent, but my games are currently infested with fed to hell Wukongs who go in stealth miles away and delete everything in their path with little to none reaction time.

Right now I'd just like to know what I can do about him (I usually have to deal with him after the laning phase since I mostly play supp) other than making sure I have constantly vision on him.

I also wonder if there is a general consensus about his design being unhealthy for the game?

It is just that playing against him in lower elos is an absolutely exhausting experience. The second I spot him I know I will not have a fun game because he is one of those champions who almost always get fed in lower elos (at least in my games) and who have mechanics which are just tedious to play against.

I am not happy with myself for making this thread since I don't like looking at a champion's design instead of getting better at playing against said champion. I am however unsure what else to do...

From what I've noticed about Wukong, yes, he is a complete jerk. A stealth, a clone to take damage for him, a dash, and an on-hit damage buff on top of his absolutely absurd ultimate can make him challenging.

The thing I've noticed is he often ends up relying on his early-mid game momentum to carry him through to the end game. I rarely see Wukong being useful for much more than the CC from his ult or picking off a squishy towards the end-game. Also, you can bait his dash-ult combo, CC him, and distance yourself, so your team can peel more. Pulls/knockbacks also tend to work pretty well against him (Darius pull, Vayne knockback, even knock-ups). Also, exhaust is a completely viable option against Wukong, if you don't need it for another bursty champion, in my opinion.

Good luck, man!
