I feel so hopeless playing against tryndamere

I fucking hate it. It's a no win scenario. Even if he goes 0/10 in lane, he will do nothing but farm the rest of the game and push to towers anyway. The fact that he takes TP wherever he goes means that you have to commit an ever-increasing amount of resources just to stop him from pushing, and the absurd amount of mobility gained from melee carry items means that you won't ever catch him. Meanwhile the fact that you can't CC his ult means that you aren't allowed to stop him when he does stuff. He'll just do whatever he wants after 20 minutes and unless you have a Jax or Yi that's fed beyond all reason or commit 2 members of your team to stopping him from beating your carry's face in, you get to watch.

A strong contender for "champion I would remove from the game." Absolutely infuriating to play against.

Nasus

It's pretty much all in the champion selection against trynd. He's a duelist that's weak against any form of disengage. Ideally you want to fight him til he ults, disengage, and fight him again. He has a hard time winning fights without his ultimate.

Here's some champions you can beat him with pretty easily:

Quinn - she has a blind to duel him pretty easily. She can disengage with vault and her ultimate and chase him down when his expires. Teemo - he just wins lane super hard, he has a blind, and his W lets him disengage easily Master Yi - he can burst down tryndamere, disengage with his ultimate, and chase him down again. He can also meditate while tryndamere is ulting to reduce damage. Nasus - wither reduces attack speed and makes disengaging very easy. You can also build very tanky and possibly get a thornmail to make fighting tryndamere very easy. Riven - she has hard CC, a powerful shield, tons of mobility for engaging and disengaging, and tryndamere is forced to ult before his HP gets too low due to the risk of Riven's execute.

Yeah... there are ways to shut him down, but there's usually one or two people on the team that get sucked into the meat grinder before he drops. Even a really bad player on Trynd can be a huge late game threat. There are at least a half dozen champs like this that should be reworked so that they are less toxic to play against.

not really, he still gets out scaled by nasus

If you have no problem with laning against tryn, grab teleport and sit at top lane. Join your team when team fight breaks out - tryn can't stop your tp. If your teleport is on cooldown, join your team and force a 5v4 team fight (if your champ is more of a team fight comp and not meant to stop tryn from split pushing). Of course, your opponents will try to buy tryn time and avoid hard engage, hence wards wards and more wards to find the chance to engage, or if your opponents insist on poke&run....sweep&force a baron fight ,_,".

I think the rate in which he can farm a lane is absurd. Mix that in with his insane mobility, and his ult, he can really be a nuisance to lane against.

There really is no way to 1v1 him straight out if he has his R up. All he does is E W Q R E you, and GG because you can't kill him, and can't run away because of the damn slow.

Lol isn't that what every champ does top anyway? Trynd just happens to have the annoying ability to not die for 5 seconds.

Riven/Jax/Nasus/Quinn/Teemo/Singed/etc will all do the same annoying sht too.

At some point basically every champion top becomes impossible to kill 1v1 because they'll either outdual you or just run away.

There is a reason you dont see him much in higher elo. If you shut down a trynd early, which is easy to do with a jungler that has cc, then the lane is super easy from then on. a 0/10 trynd should have his top pushed to inhib and then while he he pushing back waves you should be with your team bot crushing a 4v5.

While I'm very aware that he isn't overpowered, his ult annoys the fuck out of me. And it feels like the damn thing is always off cooldown.

pick ryze and make him raaaaage.

hh the thinker11/7/2014, 8:31:51 PM1 votes

tryn is fine, I've beaten tryn before and played him. if you pick top, you should be able to handle him and if not, that's something you can learn. one good way would be to play nasus since you will out scale him. there are other ways, but I find nasus to be the easiest for me.

Play Garen, stack armor, laugh at his futile attempts to defy JUSTICE!

One of my biggest gripes when I play top lane; I hate playing against split-pushers. I can't even play the rest of the game since I just have to sit top and babysit my lane.
